Personally I think its true, being angry is nothing to do with being a dickhead what sort of a comment is that???, being angry is due to undelt with feelings that many people suffer with most people who take steroids have some sort of bad feeling about themselves like never feel good enough or big enough or to small or some form of bad body image and thats just touching the surface alot more have had drug and other addiction problem(including me). Everyone has anger inside and different peope deal with things in different ways I hate violence but when im on the juice sometimes I feel myself being more angry and wanting to say things to people who tread in my personal space whereas sometimes when im straight I would let it pass. Im far from a bully and dont fight if I dont have to infact cant remember the last time but it definately increases anger in me especially halos make me very short tempered. So my idea is it increases the chances of losing control yes for sure I do agree its different in different people not sure to whether they are a dickhead although there are some but its due to how people have been taught to react to different situations in their life that my .02c worth
peace

i think its an excuse. when im on a cycle i feel great. im more irratable and short fused when im off. if your already a jerk before doing juice, im sure it could make some people even more of a jerk. but i think its an excuse for someone who cant control themselves. self control is a beautiful thing. some types of gear can make you more aggressive (halo, tren , etc) but i dont think enough to make someone go nuts. i think people use it as an excuse for their iresponsable acts.

From my personal experience being on my first cycle and all I have noticed myself getting very irritable at some points. Also like someone else said earlier in the post its with some of the people closest to me. Normally I have a short temper but dont let it off too badly on anyone but since i've started the gear it got a lot worse, I have been learning to control it better and I think that i've definatly made improvements. Its all a matter of self control but obviously it can be difficult for some.

When im on gear i have a short temper. It's kinda like you have all this built up frustrations but you don't say anything...but then there is that little thing that sets you off.

I agree that there is some truth to it, but I dont believe it can turn a mellow guy into a fight provoking asshole. It's all how you are before cycle. Let's not forget that "roid rage " became a popular media induced term 2 decades ago when a lawyer blamed "roid rage" instead of his asshole client for domestic violence as an excuse to win the case.

It's real. I get pissed quite easily. Actually, for the most part, I enjoy it. Sometimes though, it can be a bit much.

roid rage def. occurs. in my first cycle when i was young i absolutely snapped. i quit my job cuz i got in a fight with my boss, it was ridiculous. the sadder part is that it was a d-bol only cycle. just imagine me when im on my other cycles. its pretty ugly guys. but roid rage is a def. especially when ur a spaz like me. my suggestions if you are a violent/angry/stressful guy...stay away from trouble. jsut think i was only on d-bol.

Neuropsychiatric effects of anabolic steroids in male normal volunteers.

Abstract:
OBJECTIVE--To evaluate the acute effects of anabolic steroids on mood and behavior in male normal volunteers. DESIGN--A 2-week, double-blind (subject and rater), fixed-order, placebo-controlled crossover trial of methyltestosterone . SETTING--An inpatient research unit at the National Institutes of Health. SUBJECTS--A volunteer sample of 20 men who were medication free, free of medical and psychiatric illness, not involved in athletic training, and had no prior history of anabolic steroid use . INTERVENTION--A sequential trial for 3 days each of the following four drug conditions: placebo baseline, low-dose methyltestosterone (40 mg/d), high-dose methyltestosterone (240 mg/d), and placebo withdrawal. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES--Mood and behavioral ratings were completed during each drug condition and included both subjective and objective measures. RESULTS--Significant (P < .05) albeit subtle increases in symptom scores were observed during high-dose methyltestosterone administration compared with baseline in positive mood (euphoria, energy, and sexual arousal), negative mood (irritability, mood swings, violent feelings, and hostility), and cognitive impairment (distractibility, forgetfulness, and confusion). An acute manic episode was observed in one of the 20 subjects, representing a 5% incidence, even under these conservative conditions. An additional subject became hypomanic. Baseline characteristics including family psychiatric history or previous drug abuse did not predict symptom changes. CONCLUSION--This is the first placebo-controlled prospective study demonstrating the adverse and activating mood and behavioral effects of anabolic steroids.
The only double blind study I could find.

Seems to me that my temper is shorter while on the juice but I've learned to control it by just walking away from whatever pisses me off, if possible.

Roid rage is used as an excuse for assholes who commit violent crimes and will not take resposibility for there actions. Now I get a bit more irritated while on at times but I never go into an insane rage. Those who do are usually under the influence of alcohol. I have said this before. Alcohol is responsible for a billion times more acts of violence than roids, pot and many other illegal drugs. Prohibition didn't work for booze in the 1920s and it sure as hell ain't working for drugs now.

Is it real, yes. Is it uncontrollable? IMO, no. If you mentally mature and aware, 'roid rage should not be a major problem.

to summarize what little experience I have I would say its a confidence factor, and that there is a huge boost in confidence. This ultimately makes me more relaxed though, because i KNOW if somebody fucks with me they'll pay. Therefore I walk around knowing that I've got power, so I'm friendly... if I need to exercise it it's there and I love that.
However I've got a pal, powerlifter for years took a few cycles here and there, weighed 170 squatted 600... he said nothing did it to him but anadrol . He said he would dress up in camo and go to the slums of downtown chicago and ride the train at night because he couldn't sleep... he said he was homicidal, waiting for someone to touch him to he could kill. He quit the androl after 2 weeks because he couldn't sleep, and felt he didn't need to. Good, responsible decision, cool, level-headed guy... made me think twice about serious shit.

Funniest thing is, if someone jams the brakes on infront of you, and you hit him....your responsible. You should have control of your vehicle at all times.
Just don't fuck with me when I'm behind the wheel.

Rage is Bullshit, if oyu ahve a bd temper to begin with and start doing you gear and start to see results you gain confidence some people get cocky and look for any excuse to blow up. It's about being mature and staying calm. I have a pretty bad temper at times that doesnt mean I'm gonna pull out my gun and empty the clip into someone beacuse I am pissed. I know better them to go around shooting , or assaulting people. WHat if I am super horny becasue I am on Test does that mean I can rape someone? Think about it.
You cant use gear as an excuse wehn you blow up ! Just my $.02

Roid rage is complete BS. Never got in fight before AS, never got in fight while on AS. If you're angry and irritable before doing AS, you will still be while doing AS. AS is never an excuse to do stupid sh*t. It doesn't change people, except maybe Halo, but I've never done Halo so I don't know...
Peace

I gotta say YES. The latest cycle I'm on..1200mg/wk Test, 600mg/wk Deca , 400mg/wk EQ, and 75mg/ed D-bol has screwed me up. Sometimes I just wake up pissed. It is true, I'm some what of an asshole (that's what they tell mean), but this one is wicked. My traps and neck are constantly stiff from stress and hate.
P.S. Have a nice day!
