CBC Blood Test
Hey guys. Does a CBC Blood test also cover liver and kidney issues as well? Went to the doctor for a check up and am currently on cycle for a while now, TRT before that and my EKG and CBC were just fine the doctor told me. I dont have the actual test results and am trying to get it. So if the doc says that my CBC was fine I am pretty much good to go right? I mean it didnt have free test etc. but I am just talking about health wise. Let me know thanks. He said my cholesterol was a little elevated but I do have a little fat to drop. I am currently on Test Ent 300mg per week, Arimidex 0.5 EOD, Finasteride 2.5 ED. What do you guys think? Do i need more tests just to establish if I am healthy etc. Thanks.

Im not 100% sure on this but a CBC is a complete blood count. that will contain RBC, WBC, hgb, hct, and other thing that have to do with your blood count. Im not sure if this would contain liver enzymes. I think they have to run a chem 7 test to check enzymes and also have them test your kidney function with BUN, creatinine, and creatinine clearance.

I double checked at work and yeah the cbc does not include liver enzymes or renal function.
Im not sure how much it would cost out of pocket.

To be more thurough...a BMP - basic metabolic panel - (AKA Chem7) looks at potassium, sodium, chloride, BUN, creatinine, glucose, and calcium...so your renal function is covered in this test.
A CMP - complete metabolic panel - includes what a BMP tests for with a few others...to include some of your liver enzymes.
To evaluate your liver, you would need to have LFTs - liver function test - drawn for a more thurough evaluation.
To evaluate your lipid levels...you would need to have a lipid panel run.
As far as costs go...I can't help you on that one.
Hope this helps...
