You are experiencing a niacin flush. Some people are sensitive to elevated amounts of niacin (Vitamin B3). The flushing is a result of the niacin increasing blood flow near the skin. It will go away in a few minutes, and you may not experience a niacin flush again. To avoid a niacin flush take a lower dose next time and see how the effect is.

you just work up the dose, get some low dose tabs and work up to the 500 mg dose. I take time release caps 2x a day, I still fell it a bit for the first 40 min or so but just unough that I can tell its starting to digest.
