possible infection??

I took my test prop shot (100mg) Wednesday morning in my left delt...started getting the usual pain that comes along with it yesterday...then today when I got to work starting just below my delt where I injected to just above my elbow running along my outer arm/tricep area is HUGE red blotch like sunburn or something...more sore than yesterday and when I touch it is really warm/hot...could this be an infection or something? Never had this happen-just got back from a workout of bi's/tri's still the same from 5am no difference. Getting a little concerned...

I had the same thing happen to my leg with prop. It went away in 5 days. And yes it was sunburn red and very hot.

Typically if it's raised, warm to the touch, and a bit itchy it's an infection, keep an eye on it and see if any changes happen, if it continues to get worse then you need to see a doctor and get some antibiotics.

get it alot when i do delt injections. feels like the oil travels downward.

keep an eye on it but i wouldnt be alarmed yet

i assume you were thorough with sterility?

Oh yeah always will not even put the syringe down once I open it from wrapper...swipe the top of the vial with alcohol/cotton swab, then the same with injection site. Although I do not change the needle after drawing from vial...never have, just seems to cause more pesky air bubbles! Tip of needle is still sharp enough for my skin

Wow that's really helpful but now I am paranoid as hell ! But that is exactly what my arm looks like...I think I might have a penicillen shot around here maybe I will have the wife inject me. Crap I hope this goes away.

If you believe that you have an abcess you need to see a dr to be safe. I have seen to many on here try to take an anti biotic to treat themselves with no results.

There are specific antibioticcs to treat certian things. If you take the wronge one you will be wasting your time and possibly chancing your health.

It is not worth the risk.

Yeah on second thought will just keep an eye on it, if not getting better by Sunday will be at the doc first thing monday. It seems not quite so red and warm as this morning but perhaps the area is a little larger-maybe it is spreading out and dissipating, at least I am hoping so!

I have never had this happen and I have had alot of shots.

I did use a 1in pin on the glute once and some oil collected between the fat and muscle . Swelled up the a$$ looked all lumpy dr said it was not a problem just to make sure I was using the correct pin.

Took a little more than a week to go away.

I think it also lies alot with the lab that your using aswell. Been seeing alot of crazy sh1t . Oil base products are going to be less of a breeding ground for bacteria than water based AAS.

Also I guess everone reacts differantly

Looking better! Not nearly as sore or red...but still a little warm to the touch. Probably didn't help that I was at the beach yesterday catching some rays

But I think my body is fighting the infection, been popping alot of vitamin C for my immune system and multi-V too, if it heals up will def. be staying away from that delt for awhile! I know the gear is good no bacteria in it or anything, just about done with the bottle and hit my glute twice since the infection started and no issues there. Still not sure how it got infected, maybe some scar tissue inside there or something? Very strange.

Same thing happened to me as you have read once I started hitting my delts, my glutes are a OK, it was only when i hit my 2nd/3rd delt shot that it happened

I dont think thats an infection, you wouldn't be able to heal yourself, you would need antibiotics for sure. Its prob just a reaction. But im glad to hear your gettin better....
