So far Added the most lbs to my deadlift out of any lift, is this common?

I am getting awesome results so far, is it common to add alot of lbs to your deadlift compared to bench press?

Also my legs have gotten alot stronger, 1 month into this project so far!

Before I was pretty weak at deadlifting, i use sumo form and could only do 315 using 100% effort 2-3 times almost killing myself. I can now do 315 easily, and did 405 with good form for 1 today. It feels awesome, just wanted to share.

Yes The Bench press , Squat and Dead lift are known as "the big three" Some people depending on how they train get stronger in different areas more quickly! I usually gain more on my bench than anything else, others will get stronger on their squat. genetics have a lot to do with where your biggest strength gains come from

I increase the most on deads too.

Didnt workout for 9mths and when I stopped I was at 405.

Ive been back in the gym for 4 mths now and pulled 445 with ease on my 4th set last week.

Bench is up from 250 to 300 now.

Squats I dont even want to talk about its terrible.

Grats 405 is very good . I see about 2-5 % people dead lift at my gym . Dead lifting is a core strength exercise , followed by squats . I believe that is why dead lifting is Olympic sport . Its a true measure of overall strength .

    thanks!

It feels real good pulling up alot of weight and feeling all the muscles being recruited. I use to get lower back pain doing them and now my body is alot stronger, i can do them safely.

I cant do deads with anything over 365# I havve 3 herniated iscs and anything heavier than that I feel like #4 is going to happen! It sucks too! Same thing with squats, anything over like 425# my knees and my back start to sing. Getting old Sucks Youth is KING!!

I love these three lifts! I been back at it for the past few months. I was pulling 550-615lbs squating close to 525lbs and benching 405lbs. I always lacked in the bench.....maybe because I did more clean and press and log press! I did a max out the other day and was very happy. I pulled 465, squated 365, and benched 295! I recommend to anyone starting to train or coming back into it to start with the 3 lifts before curls pushdowns....ect!
