    Steroids Help Injury?

    Hey guys, i'm new here..

but, when i was 16, i done my back in, lifting a weight i shouldn't have with poor form...

Anyways, it got better over time.

the same also happened a couple of years ago, was doing deadlifts one day, everything was fine, the next day i twisted my back putting a 15k dumbbell back down when training biceps.

eventually, my back healed, and felt better again...

the last couple of month, my backs been feeling weak, it will feel stiff, and it's the very same feeling i've had before, it feels like it just wants to go again.

Went to the doctors, he said try swimming, streach before working out etc... said it shouldn't be a spinal injury (said this without actually looking at my back)

My friend had a sholder injury for years, he went on test for a cycle, and the pain which he has had for years, which the doctors said "nothing can be done about it." disapeared over the course of 3 weeks....

Currently, i'm at 14stone 4, (came down from 14stone 8, went on holiday, was doing a lot of cardio on holiday and no weights, with a poor eating plan..)

I'm looking to get to 15stone naturally (going to be very hard, as i can't train as heavy as i'de like to go (bicep curls etc put strain on lower back, front raises also do the same, and my back workout is just agony which i have to try working through... but anyways, when i get to15stone, I was considering testosterone .

what i was wanting to ask, Do you think taking steroids will make the muscles in my back lock up ? and actually make it worse? or would it have a posotive effect on my back and perhaps help it heal?
Or do you think if i took it now, it could help my back with the healing process.

    Thanks

    Andy

Sorry Bro, was on another thread................. Man I would really give that back all the time it needs to heal. You dont want bigger problems down the road.
Im really afraid steriods will only compound your back trouble.

If your doc thought steriods would help out, I would think he would prescipe them for you.
IMHO steriods should only be used when you are at the peak of your training, not as a crutch to get you back.

Im down the road and have that problem. 5 herniated disc's. c5 and s1 is the worst. Squirted most of the disc matter out. March 6th i was hospitalized and put on a morphine pump. I can never train the wheeles like i used 2. only machines. You dont want this problem. Get an mri and c whats going on. The only steroids that helps is prednisone, and thats not the type of steroid you want.... Most doctors dont know to much about herniations, you have to see a neurosurgeon. Good luck brotha!!
