How do you deal with the emotional sides?

I have never seen a thread touching on this subject before and I know it is an issue for many bodybuilders and strength athletes. When I am on I feel great untouchable almost then when I'm off I feel like ass, no motivation, no strength, feel small and along with the emotional rollercoaster clomid can put you through makes you just want to stay on all the time. What I want to discuss is how do YOU deal with it?

i dont use clomid i use nolva.... so the emotional coaster isnt that extreme... and keep yourself busy, its easier to not think those negative thoughts...
and being narcacissitic helps also, cause i always look good :-)

i dont have emotional problems, but i do always feel small

my advice to you is getting back on PCT and cut down training volume or take a week off. remember your cortisol levels are gonna take over after cycle and recovery time will be greatly increased.

That was a heavy cycle you did and recovering natural test levels with clomid will definitely make you feel down but you sound like you are feeling it more than most.

Still sounds like your natural test levels have not recovered.

My 2 cents would be to take into consideration redoing a bigger pct. and maybe get advice on here of how to include hcg in it.

On your next cycle i'd recommend running hcg throughout.
HCG - How important is it?

But otherwise those feelings are pretty normal feelings with low testosterone and high estrogen levels.

I know the feeling mate, I had this. I think it also depends on your overall personality too , for how you feel when the hormones are unbalanced. After my test e cycle I just felt blue, down and shitty. I started taking trib and I think it helped give me a natural boost, I now feel pretty good with myself and am enjoying training.
Just keep your chin up mate it will pass eventually :-)

    Peace out. Mike

Its more common as you get older and the more cycles you do, when I was younger recovery and the drop in hormones didn't really bother me but after a while no matter what kind of PCT i incorporated I had to deal with an emotional roller coaster when i came off.

The influx of hormones especially Testosterone makes you feel like 10 men, basically Test is what makes you a man and when your injecting higher amounts what are needed the ride is out of this world and the gains what can be achieved are outstanding but with every action theres is a reaction and the drop in hormones is hard to cope with, i do feel alot of it is a mental state of mind knowing your off cycle.

Finding a PCT which you respond to and other OTC Test boosters will help at this period but be-careful not to swap one medication for another, time off is vital for further gains and remaining healthy. Weather the OCT Test booster were just the placebo effect in action, who knows!! but if they help with the down side i would include them and I also tried to put in my head that this time was vital and is part of the whole cycling protocol to carry on producing tissue.

If people are finding it really difficult i would try a different PCT, I know some guys who find clomid hard to cope with and once they changed their protocol the down side disappeared, so re-designing and finding what works is what its all about.

Hey guys maybe we can do some sort of age/pct chart?

    e.g.

    Age: 29
Emotional sides?: Yes/No/Somewhat? (obviously you choose one)

Just as Marcus said, there might be an age relationship to how you feel coming off of a cycle.

What exactly do you mean by that? I'm just trying to see if there is a correlation between age and recovery (and how you feel after cycle).

im on my 3rd week of pct and boy has it been tough i broke up with my gf 6 weeks ago and it didnt bother me at all a month ago when it happened now i find myself cryin to her on the phone and shes all happy bc im showing feelings, truth is pct depresses me and have been hittin the gym only 3 times a week, i force food down my throat and miss being on.
i do like the fact that pct dried me up and got me ripped.

I am going to drop the clomid run the nolva a couple extra weeks and take some time off from the gym already skipped a few workouts and feel alittle better.

Maybe my damn elbows will heal up a bit too LOL.
