Stupid cotton seed oil question real quick..

I need A LOT of cotton seed oil.

    About a liters worth lol.
My friend found a site that sells a half gallon for $17.00
    http://www.soapgoods.com/Cottonseed-Oil-p-579.html

If I buy it from here I'm gonna wind up spending a lot more more (like $7 per every 50ml)

But obviously one is sterile and one is not.

My question. Can I just heat the oil over the stove for say 30mins to sterlize it then pour into a sterile vial to store till I convert it?
Or would I have to filter it too?

Actually.. its gonna be converted so I figure its gonna have to be filtered anyway, but then can't I still just use the foodgrade because it'll just sterilize during the conversion process?

So it doesn't make sense that for conversions the cottonseed oil has to be sterile and not food grade.

Yeh but there was a larger question.

Which is can I use the food grade if its gonna be heated and filtered anyway? Whats the point of buying "sterile" oil?
