Abcess or Irritated muscle ?
Hey everyone.. Could you take a look at these pictures and let me know what you think?
Last tuesday october 13th i shot 1/2cc NPP and 1/2cc Test Ace in my left bicep, and 1/2cc NPP and 1/2cc Test E in my right bicep... Since then my left arm has swollen, become red, and hurts, but i dont have a fever or anything like that.
Yesterday friday the 16th i started taking amoxicillin 500mg, cephalexin 500mg, and Motrin 800. Just to be on the safe side, in case it is an abcess.. If it doesn't get any better by tuesday (i'm giving it a week) i will be going to the doctors.

Looks like a normal reaction to a site injection.

I was told by a friend to take them just in case i do have an abcess, i trust him because he's knowledgable about steroids and he's dealt with a few friends that have had abcesses

You do not need them both! I would go to the doc if it doesnt get better. If you insist on taking an antibiotic then take the cephalexin at 500mgs three times a day for seven days. Last abscess I had the doc prescribed the above prtocol to me. Just make sure that you actually have an infection before you take any antibiotic.

Alright, i will drop the amoxicillin... I have been taking the cephalexin at 500mg 3x a day. But i only started it yesterday..
I just can't see this being a bad reaction to an injection, we'll have to wait and see though... Thanks for your help

The faci is the issue for the smaller muscles. With respect to site injections you want to streach the facia (which I am sure you know)...
Food for thought, My bies look EXACTLY the same when I site inject.

I had red spots like that when I put some TNT 450(TEST/Tren ) into my delt and pec. Damn painful gear that was.

an abscess takes time to develop.. you're smart in reacting soon however.
generally, they can do blood work OR ultrasound the area to look for pockets of infection
continue antibiotics until finished, then re evaluate.. oh, and after being cut open myself with an abscess, please start shooting elsewhere, you dont want a large staple scar on your arm if ever cut open like I have !!

if its hot to the touch,`then its prob an abscess... keflex will knock it out. You only develop a fever from an abscess if you let it go for too long.

So today I have barely any pain in my arm, my bicep is not even half as swollen as it was yesterday.. Still red though, not hot to the touch. BUT my forearm is also red now and it's swollen, right past my elbow on the inside of my forearm.
I'm totally clueless as to what going on

I didn't go to the doc.. I continued running the Cephalexin which ended after 5 days (tuesday), and i've been running amoxicillin since then. It is all better now though, no swelling, no redness, no pain.
I dont even know if it was an abcess, may have just been a bad reaction to a site injection. Just happy it's better now

Amoxicillin and cephalexin belongs to the same class of antibiotics, it's useless to take both at the same time. I suggest you stick to cephalexin.

an anti biotic CANNOT "knock out" an abscess... ONLY surgery can, therefore it couldn't have been an abscess
