    just a BIT of test....

I know that a beginner cycle is around 500mg a week of test and maybe some Dbol and definitely PCT. I was talking about steroids with a friends who is a doctor an he doesnt want me to do this. However, he said he would be happy to give me 100-200 mg a week over a longer period of time. Does anyone have experience with this dosage? He says he gives it to some patients who naturally lack test and they see a big differece. You guys think it would make a difference on an average person?

    without knowing your stats...

your doc is talking about TRT dose. (Testosterone Replacement Therapy dose) which as he stated is given to men who naturally lack the average amount of test made in the normal male body.

so that being said... if your test levels are normal... then the dose he is suggesting wont do jack

but if your test levels are below normal... then you will feel a whole lot better with that dose.

do you know your test levels?

Wouldn't make much sense, you would be replacing what you already have and will probably shut yourself down forever. Basically TRT for the rest of your life. And very little gains.

Dr friend sounds like a f'ing nutjob. Have him give you some complementary blood work then come back with the results.

its been answered. dont do it. you produce more test naturally then 100-200mg/week at your age. it wont do anything for you. the reason 500mg/week is recommended is because it puts you above your natural baseline.

aroung 5mg's a day is prb average,, 100 to 200mg/wk is still way over normal levels even with the ester conversion takin out.
He just shouldnt be recommending to put you on HRT at your age without blood tests.

i just read that 6-7 mg per day is average. so yeah, even adding just 100mg a week would double the test most likely, and I have done bloodwork im waiting on the lab.

although average for your age group could be 7mg/day, you are at the lower end of that age group and likely produce more than the average. additionally, the test you inject has an ester attached taking up part of the total weight, so 100mg of cyp would not contain 100mg of test. your height and weight indicate that your diet likely has problems, and if your test is low at your age that is an indicator of a larger problem. I would recommend a different doctor.
just to rule it out, could you list your daily diet, in detail?

You understand that when you add synthetic testosterone you shut down your natural test production right? I'm not sure if you meant it that way but it sounds like you are trying to add test to what you already produce. Doesn't work that way.

    Listen to Big.

it doesnt matter if it shuts you down. if youre taking 200mg/wk. and part of that has to supplement what your natural output was. you still have a net gain of testosterone.

im in no way suggesting this kid should do it. but it sounds like the question asked, was more based towards wether low doeses are usefull or not. and for some reason its become one of those things, that everyone just takes as "common knowledge", that you NEED 500mg/wk, for a good cycle.

but really, there are many people who make great gains on small doses like 250mg/wk. but youll never know, unless you try.

so as for the question. do people do it, and is it ok to do? YES, many people run small doses, and make great gains. but as for the OP's situation, you should try and put some weight on naturally first. 5'10" 160lbs, is still pretty skinny.

    my diet is very clean-
protein from lean beef, chicken, tuna, and whey PWO
    fats from flaxseed oil, nuts
carbs from brown rice, oats, and oat bran

macros are FAT: 155 CARB: 360 PRO: 265 CALS: 4000

Big: what would lead you to say that my diet has problems from those stats? just wondering

are you completely satisfied with your current physique? I guess I shouldn't have assumed, but I thought if you were considering taking test perhaps you wanted to grow, and at your present stats there is a lot of room for natural growth.

no im definitely not satisfied. Ive been stuck at those stats for almost a year. Despite tweaks in my diet and training ive not yet been able to get past this level. That is why i was entertaining the thought of using test.

Dude you can go far at your age with that base and some diet knowledge.
Hope in the Training section IMO and get into some different.
Personally for 3 weeks I have been on heavy weights and low low reps (and on keto - dont do keto for you) and muscles are going like a beast!
