    Smile adderall or strattera?

Not to sure where would be the appropriate place to ask but figured this would prolly get the most hits.... well i was recently diagnosed with adhd and given adderall. loved the effect but hated the mad appetite supressing properties esp since im a skinny person by natural. i know that most ppl would prolly have to argue about adhd and it not being a real diagnosis but when you do have it, only then can you understand the full dynamics and relize its not just about concentration and how it effect your daily living. so what that being said. how has medication worked for everyone else. whether it may be adderall, strattera etc. been wanting to try strattera to try and avoid the appetite supression or should i just stick to adderall.

Been on both man and strattera suppresses the appetite much much less my friend. Thats one of the reasons they came out with it is because of the fact that adderall and the earlier ridilin make you not want to eat for nearly an entire day.... In my experience at least. I'd ask the doctor and tell him what you are trying to do and see if he would recommend one of the others. I think concerta has the least appetite affects good luck bro

    I am very against strattera
wanted to try it cause I don't like the druggie feeling of stim drugs

gave me persistant vertigo, panic attacks, I could't get it up to save my life. And, the ED lasted until long after I discontinued use. Also found myslef depressed after.

Clinically not equal to adderal for add symptoms and overall an inferior drug...however because it's not a controlled substance, it's easier for doctors to prescribe and being pushed by pharma reps for it's few advantages...stims are CII controlled substances and have addictive potential...strattera is becoming 1st line therapy and it sucks.

I have been on aderall, straterra, and concerta. I can say form personal experience that concerta did not suppress my appetite like aderall and straterra did. I actaully hated aderall because i felt all f-ed up on it. Concerta kind of keeps you baseline throughout the day.

I use vyvance for the same reason...I can't stand the drugged up feeling
concerta is really slow acting smooth delivery of ritalin
    vyvance is same for dextroamphetamine

Was on vyvanse 70mg a day for 4 months and quit it. This was already after my surgeries and shit, so I had lost all my mass but the vyvanse stripped me to my lowest weight since high school and I said **** this shit. Not only that but after a few months I started feeling terrible without it and that was a huge red flag.

I understand the OP trying to defend his diagnosis, I personally believe it is the way our society runs and is set up that causes so many people problems. We idly sit, 24/7 and do our lives with little to no real excitement but the fear of one day dying.

**** the meds and get active, fight, ride a bike, lift, and never stop moving. We're hunters not forum posters. Those drugs will eat you away from the inside out.

^^^ im diagnosed with adhd and i wont take anything anymore. I also have crazy ocd (obsessive compulsive disorder) and i wont take anything for it cuz as long as i stay active or doing something im fine. You can get your body to use the energy and impulses you have. Just find the right hobby that makes you happy enough to focus and at the same time use the extra energy best of luck bro

    (not sure links are allowed)

I can't find the exact document but it is there somewhere. Plently of people report decreased libidio and far less drive in the gym ( even though that isn't enough to suggest that it lowers testosterone .)

He hit it right on the spot.

When I was younger I found concerta to be the best thing. I got it in my head that I was too old to be taking ADHD medicine, boy was I wrong.

I have found that working out, playing sports, hell even video games, all help me.

Im with this also strattera has no affect on me. I like adderall as for the app depress just gotta get use to the meds first then you should be fine. I think BJ posted it right with the high protein and fats.
