HI Guys
I helped a friend do his first injection today all went well until I poked my finger with the needle!

I did draw blood I did push the blood out and did have a alcohol swab at hand which I used and wiped my finger down with in fact I used three swabs. I know my friend is clean do you guys think I should visit my doctors just to be sure?

Yeah thats kind of iffy bro.... If you injected him then poked yourself... I would be kind of worried.... That shit was deep into his body now even poking your finger slightest bit.... EHHH i would rather be safe then sorry.

You might want to have your friend get tested for all STD, hep, etc...
I might be a few days before it can show up in your system

It is kind of true... However accidents do happen. Must be extremely careful bro... I have poked my finger once. But it was with my own pin.....

The one thing I am not is clumsy , just one of those things. I have given hundred of jabs to people with no problems.

I have found out that being in the UK I am better off going to a STI (GUM) clinic as this will not go on my own doctors record. Have been told that would not be seen for medical insurance.

will post again when I have the results.

Yeah, man, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it if you know your friend well and you are pretty sure he is clean. You should get checked just in case, but, like I said, don't stress too much.

by your age you have already been exposed to hep b, so the only thing you have to worry about(that can't be cured) is hiv because if your friend has it your pretty much screwed unless your still in the 48 hour window just after been exposed.

so if your still in that window go with your friend to get one of those rapid test that give you the reading on the spot if it's neg. you're fine if it's positve head to the hospital and tell them you been you just been exposed
