Anavar to loose weight/minor gains?
Hey all,
New to the forums. I have been reading posts and stickies and still trying to grasp everything slowly.
I am still in my research phase as to whether or not I am ready to do a cycle. I do have a question that maybe can help me research a bit more, since I am looking to burn mainly fat, from the research i've done so far, Anavar seems to be a good choice, due to it seems slight gains, fat burning and little side affects. I have also seen some people say that it's not worth doing Anavar alone. Should I keep my eye on anavar or is there a better cycle that I should look into?
Thank you all in advance. I hope to learn a whole lot more!

I'm sorry, forgot to include that information. I am 5'7", 29 years old, weighing 177 pounds.
I have been going to the gym regularly for the past 4 months. Usually go monday-fridays. I recently started adding cardio on a daily basis, mainly the P90x Cardio X program before I hit the gym, and in the morning on the weekends.
I am taking an Animal Pak a day and trying out Animal Stak. I am on my first week. I am also drinking Optimum Pro Complex (scoop and a half) about 3 times a day. 1 in the morning, 1 before workout and 1 after. No-Xplode pre workout, then Optimum Casein before I go to bed.Last edited by jojowaste; 05-10-2010 at 10:49 PM. Reason: Added more info

Read the stickies on Post Cycle Therapy because you will need to run a PCT after your Var cycle. Most people start seeing gains at 8 weeks but unless you bodyfat % is low you won't really see anything. By low I'm talking under 10%. some run Var at 60mg every day. 40-60mg for 8 weeks ... Do some blood work prior during and after to make sure your in check. Drink lotsa water and get some milk thistle.

you left out what you body fat % is. anyway bro dont rely on or think you can take var it its going to burn your fat off,you got to have you diet in check and training routine in place, have you been in the diet forum yet? if you run var i would do so at a minimum of 60mg per day and no shorter than 6 weeks,no longer than 8 weeks,as stated you will need a pct! but your diet being main factor in dropping your bf whatever it is.

Here is some more info. I was in a rush a bit last night so didn't get a chance to post it all.
BMI = 27.7
BF% = 12%
According to a few online calorie calcs, i need about 3k to maintain my weight.
I was never a hard dieter when I started the gym. I started on a strict diet last Monday. This is pretty much my same routine as of late:
Optimum Pro Complex (Rocky Road) (2 scoop) when I wake up.
1 Activa When I get to work
1 Animal Pak
1 Fruit between the activa and lunch
Lunch is usually a salad or a very small serving of left overs from the night before (pork chops, chicken salad, no realy fattening food)
1 Fruit about 2 hours later
I get home from work and take another serving of Optimum Pro Complex (1 scoop)
10 Mins later take Animal Stak
Begin 40 mins cardio workout about 10 mins later
After cardio i head straight for the gym for 1 1/2 - 2 hours doing weight training
Another serving of Optimum Pro Complex (1 scoop)
Eat dinner (medium sized serving, again nothing really fattening.)
A serving of Optiumum Caesin before I go to bed.
I've been trying to keep my calorie intake to just over 2k or maybe 1900. I also have stopped drinking anything except for water. I am drinking at least 8 glasses a day.
I will be checking the diet forums also to see what else I can adjust. I was thinking of switching my activa breakfast with oatmeal from time to time.
Thank you all for you help and advice!
