Wondering about side effects with something from my teenage years.

When I was a teenager I bought some gel stuff used to accelerator a horses respirator system or something like that. I was wondering if anyone has heard of that.

It was in a bottle with a pump lid and I added a squirt to drinks. My goal was to trim down. It seemed to work well at the time, later on I developed some sort of problem that may have been caused from these drugs.
