Aspirate when injecting the glute?

Okay so I've only done one cycle before, but I'm gonna be doing another one soon...the first time I only did injections in the glute and I never aspirated...is it really necessairy?

always aspirate . it takes 2 secs.

Yes it is. You dont want to inject into a vein

It is necessary.....

I've actually injected into a vein someplace in my glute...... I had a coughing fit for 5 minutes and a horrid taste in my mouth.

as D7M said..... aspirating takes 2 seconds......

It just seems impossible to do it unless someone else injects you...I guess I just find it really hard to aspirate with one hand.

your right its very hard but nessesary for your safety....you may want to try to inject in new places like your thighs....i was so afraid to do it and after i tryed it i found it to be the easyest and least painfull spot and asperating was easy-peezy as well....

I've thought about injecting into the thighs...but like you, I'm afraid. My legs are skinny and I'm worried I'll hit the bone! LOL The thighs, however, do seem to be the easiest place to do it and to aspirate ...and if they're also the least painful??.....then I'm in!

if you do it, let me know how you go. I like the glute cause well, theres no bone

Though I do only have 1.5" pins, so Id probably need to get some small ones. Still.. bit scared :| And yes ive checked out s-p-o-t-i-n-j-e-c-t-i-o-n-s.

Yeah, I'm definitely a glute fan! No bones, less vains, more padding! This whole aspirating thing has me worried though, maybe I was just lucky to never hit a vein in there! It probably wont be for a month, but I'll post up when I do a thigh and I'll let ya know how it goes. And by the way...you definitely need a smaller pin!

Hey Im just playing around with my thigh and im thinking if I come from the side I wouldnt have any chance of hitting the bone? Im just holding the muscle and moving it about a little and it looks feasible.

Well I'm not sure about that...how far on the side? I went on that injection site too and also from everything else I've seen, it shouldn't be too much on the side...although I like your idea about moving around the muscle...just pushing from the middle of my leg, down and outwards, it seems to give me some room to work with....although...that wouldn't solve my problem of aspirating with one hand... I'm gonna have to work on that I guess.

Umm, not far down the side. Just more, using the pin horizontally almost as opposed to vertical.
Just from playing with the muscle in my hand I can feel i wouldnt be hitting bone if I come in on the angle. Not sure how great an idea this is... just it seems theres no chance of hitting bone and from what I can tell Id be injecting right into the muscle.

Guess I can just give it a go on Sunday...

not trying to be rude, but if you are not coordinated to aspirate with one hand while needle is in the glute, maybe you should do some stretching excercises first, because aspiration is critical. 95% of time it may not be necessary, but if you **** up, it will SUCK.

just relax, concentrate, and "YOU CAN DO IT"

takes 2 seconds as stated above.
