So I am 31 and was diagnosed with BPH last week
I've been cycling on/off for 3 years. I'm about 6 weeks into a 400mg test e cycle and have been getting a stinging in my prostate. I went to the urooist and he wa shocked at how big my prostate was and diagnosed me with BPH.
For those who get swollen prostates bc of cycling, will this regress off-cycle? Or should I resign myself to the fact that I need Avodart. It's definitely NOT prostatitis, as we tried to fix it months ago with anitbiotics to no avail and his most recent DRE confirmed the texture of BPH. Any thoughts here guys?

1500mgs (1.5 grams) of gear is A LOT, and a HALF A YEAR long cycle? That's extremely long, man... I wish I could say i'm surprised you have BPH... but im nor surprised given your cycle history.
Can't say anything for sure, but a 6 month cycle sounds like it's enough (MORE than enough) time for androgens to act on the prostate tissue receptors and get that thing pumped up to the size of a grapefruit.
Hit the saw palmetto, take whatever the doc perscribes, and I wish you the best of luck. I hope this is a good warning to those out there to make sure not to cross that point where use becomes abuse.
Let us know if the prostate size subsides following the end of your cycle.

Yeah, that's it
Thanks for the well-wishes.
I love how these types of threads where someone asks for a simple answer turn into a lecture... lol. All that I asked was "those who get swollen prostates bc of cycling, will this regress off-cycle?" ...fairly straightforward.
1500mg is hardly abuse, nor is a 6 month cycle... relatively light by bodybuilding standards.

Doesn't matter what caused it. Now it's time to get it back down. Finasteride seems like a popular compound for benign forms of prostate enlargement. Good luck bro.

Thanks... what I am trying to determine is the following...
if the prostate becomes enlarged on-cycle (unlike with age) is this a TEMPORARY condition that will regress when the androgens are withdrawn (unlike BPH that occurs with age when compunds like finasteride must be used for months to see results because the enlargement is PERMANENT)
