PCT as a safety measure even if gear is bunk?

This may sound ridiculous, but today kicks off week 7 of a 12 week test e cycle, and I still cannot determine whether or not the gear is real. The fact that i'm even questioning this leads me to believe it's probably not... but then again i'm a very untrusting suspicious person to begin with!

I have gained 20-25lbs since starting, BUT literally the day I started the cycle, I also bumped daily calories up by 1000 as I was previously cutting. However, because of that I cannot be sure whether the added weight is from the test, the food, or a combination of both.

Strength has gone up on almost all lifts, but again, I would expect that to happen given the fact I gained upwards of 25lbs.

My body really doesn't look much different at all, at least in my eyes. Anyway, the point of all this is i'm considering aborting the cycle now - I don't want to continue sticking myself for what I perceive to be nothing. I am also trying to make a baby and obviously have very poor timing with doing this cycle now, because if the test IS real, I will obviously be shut down. I guess I need to get blood work and a sperm count test done ASAP to be sure.

The question is - let's assume the test is fake. If I were to still run PCT just to be on the safe side (clomid @ 100/50/50/50 and nolva @ 40/20/20/20), would there be any negative sides to worry about?

I'm between a rock and a hard place right now and can use some serious help!

i wouldent abort it just yet....i felt the same way durring my first cycle and i think it because we set ourselves up for this huge transformation when in reality it still takes some time and and maybee other cycles to reach your goal....if all the sings are there like streanght increase and weights up then maybee its working...if it takes 5 weeks to truely kick in then your only a few weeks into it so id keep at it....its hard to know what to look for or feel sence youve never done this before....just my 2 cents bro,goodluck....

20-25 lbs seems as if your stuff is legit and you may have been expecting to look like a pro with one cycle. many people do not gain that in a year. How much is your strength increasing?

you gain 25lbs in 7 weeks. How much more are you expecting? Gear sounds good to me. Even from just calories i dont see you making that big of gains unless you were very small to start. also most of the gains would be fat if your natural. IMO

What were your stats before and now?

Have you noticed any sides? Testicular atrophy?

I agree with ghetto. Don't abort yet.

Thanks for the feedback, and I totally hear what you guys are saying. The signs are there as far as strength increases go, it has more to do with the 'look' which in my opinion isn't much different at all. Sure I look a little bulkier, but i've definitely put on some fat and am holding water, that's what i'm attributing most of the bulk to.

I need to take current pics so you can evaluate. My before pic is my avy; I was especially small there because it was right after running a CKD diet. I got down to 177lbs and hated the way I looked, just small and skinny. I'm sitting at around 203lbs right now, 5'11.

No testicular atrophy, libido is the same but honestly i've always been a horn dog so it's hard to judge that one.

I guess you guys are right; in the grand scheme, it's only 6 more weeks. My biggest concern is the baby situation, that's really what's driving this more so than my perceived lack of gains. I'll stick it out this week and see if I progress further. Thanks for the feedback guys, and i'll get some pics ASAP.

sounds legit to me, just finish out the cycle and then do the pct with clomid and nolva.

So I took everybody's advice and decided to forge ahead. I pinned my right quad last night and apparantly struck a vein; I aspirated and had no blood, so I continued with the injection, but when I pulled out blood was squirting out like i've never seen before! Pretty scary. I assume I went through a vein and into the muscle. Of course I got paranoid at the time and thought I injected into the vein and was sitting there waiting for the oil to stop my heart....

Let me rephrase my original question. I will finish out my 12 weeks. Again, let's just ASSUME the gear is bunk, forget about any gains for a moment. Is there any major potential danger in running PCT? Another way to ask is this: let's say a person never did AAS, but for whatever reason started taking clomid and nolva - any dangers involved?

20-25lbs sounds about right. Since your running a longer ester water retention is a little higher than a short ester.
Those big dudes that you know are on it are Probably taken d bol kickers, deca , test e, and cutting with winn and clen . When you stack gear the results look way different then just a test base. Just me o2.
For example I started prop at 238 + or -, my diet is sitting around tdee and some days its higher, some are not it depends what I do that day, or the next day, or the day previous for me to eat more or less. I'm shooting not to gain much more weight. More of a re comp. Lean and muscular. Its more of a look I want and a diet I can maintain that's not over the top, and maintainable gaines. after all that clean out, cut down, see a doc and go from there.
