    Resting during PCT for injury

I have tendonitis. I have been doing some reading and some sites are saying you have to give it rest before it becomes a chronic issue (early in the beginning).

Would I be selling myself short on retaining gains if I stopped the exercises that irritate it during PCT? I am thinking I will still do lifts that don't bother it.. legs, back, biceps, forearms.. maybe start doing abs again.

Your going to lose some gains. Tendinitis usually takes a good 2+ weeks to fully heal. In the mean time take joint supps and creatine at 5mg a day will slow atrophy of muscles. I wish I took it during my injury period but creatine is a banned substance for my job. Amazingly they will test that before aas.

Thanks ironside; My tendon where the tricep muscle joins at the elbow is injured. It really bothers me on the overhead press exercise the most. It was bothering me a lot during incline press but that has tapered off a little. It bothers me a little during just about all other tricep / chest exercises.

I bought a sleeve and have been using Tiger Balm salve at home. These have allowed me to keep training with much less discomfort.

The problem I'm having now is i'm reading at different websites that the tendonitis will become chronic (virtually never ending) if I don't let it heal on its own.

This is true. If it's 'tennis elbow' than the strain could be caused by your radial in your forarm. So any movements that require grip or motion of your elbow could aggitate your injury. Just feel it out and stay away from jerking exercises like muscle ups and well jerks

I started getting tennis elbow... it was from DB Row, because of all the stress and weight you are putting on your elbow... So i cut that out and had no problems since. And I have also read that Tendinitis can become chronic so be careful with it!
