what guy at gym said about my first cycle
Im going to run 500mg of TEST E in the near future.
My friend has a pro lifter he trains with at the gym and this guy told me 500mg is a waste and i wont have any gains except for a little strenght.
He said to run 500mg for 2 weeks then 1000 lol for 6 then 500 last 2.
I just laughed and said i dont even know how i will react to test E since i have yet to run a cycle and i will not run something this high for my first.
He ask where I am getting my advice for my first cycle. I told him various forums which all say the same thing etc. He just laughed and said dont put your faith in the internet and i have no clue.Last edited by slimshady01; 07-08-2010 at 03:12 PM.

yah, you don't need a gram a week to grow.
stick with 500mg/wk and you'll do well

Always start low and work up. Stick with your plan. You can always try 1000mg some other day.

500mg/wk is more than sufficient.
I can gain LBM on 350mg/wk, I did last cycle.
Tapering up and down is actually fairly useful for those wanting to avoid sides such as acne. I taper up and down and it helps alot. It wont help with HPTA inhibition though. Thats not what the data on the subject states using exogenous testosterone .

I can't handle 1000mg EW. And like Swifto said, the fluctuating hormone levels may cause sides. They always do to me.
Most info you get from a gym acquaintance is worthless. Very few have a clue what they are doing. Unless they use this forum...

Horseshit! I'm 2 weeks away from finishing a test e cycle, 500mg/week. I have gained 25lbs, waist size hasn't changed, no real noticable fat gain, possibly a few pounds but that's nothing.
Bench is up 40lbs
Squat is up 90lbs
Dumbell Shoulder Press is up 30lbs per shoulder
A little strength???

wow my man this guy that told you to run such a high dose at such a early stage thats crazy.. im 29 been working out off and on for 10 and just getting ready to do my first run, now that being said im still a novice to the hole steroid use but i have done a lot of reasearch on this and i have decided to go with a small yet strong cycle my self of
3-10mg of dbol a day spread with 1 and a half in the morning +1 and a half in the afternoon taken with meals to help prevent anykind of gastonial pain and keep blood levels some what even and i got 30 10mg novladex to go with it just in case, seeing how dbol sides can be stronger the only way you would need that much is if you where some one using constantly for years and even then your pushing it side can be(dose related) so becareful every one's body acts diffrent start with some thing small and see how your gains are.

1000mg/week for first cycle?
wow...... just...wow.
500-600 a week plus a VERY solid well planned diet, and proper training that works for YOU is all you need at this point.
my only other suggestion, make sure you have nolvadex /clomid ready for pct - and even some arimidex incase you have issues part way through.
0.5mg/day can be a huge help if you're gyno prone or prone to bloating...and personally, for what arimidex costs at 0.5mg/day - i'd run it anyway.
better to be safe from the get go, than to find out you're sensitive and endup with problems!

I'm on a 3000 calorie/day diet, roughly a 40/40/20 macro breakdown. I have it posted up in the diet section. I'll link it when I get a chance, or you can just search for it. WARNING - my diet has been posted/refined/modified many times, so be sure to find the one that says "critique my 1st ever bulking diet!"

^^^ THIS. I ran 40mg of Dbol weeks 1-4 on this cycle, and ran .05mg of A-dex EOD during those weeks to deal with any water retention, etc. I had no noticable sides.
