How effective is Accutane?
Ive only been on it a week so I am wondering how good it will be? Im on 40 mg a day split into two doses.
Like will I get zero zits, or will I still get them but they'll be smaller and go away quicker, etc?

It works very well!!! took it my sophomore year of High School. I hope you are not planning to cycle AAS while on this....
But your face will get worse and then all of the sudden it's clear. Just apply plenty of lotion and carry chapstick everywhere you go....

Its the only drug that works 100% for people, or so I've heard. After I believe it was 6 months of continuation of accutane this one girl never got another pimple.

I did some research on Accutane sides.
It has the potential to damage the bowels and liver severely. Doesn't mean it will but the potential is there.
I'm going to run milk thistle, udca and liv52 with it. I chose a bad time to start using it. I have to start my nolva/clomid pct in a few days.. sigh..

I use accutane on and off year round..... here's how to doit.....
Use it at 40mg's/day till yous tart seeing acne clear up and then drop it to 20mg's/day until you are clear and then run 10mg's/day or EOD while on cycle to stay clear.
I've used accutane while on an adrol/dbol combo..... i used it while on methyl tren ..... no problems. I'm not advising to use it with other orals.... but you should definately be fine durring pct while using nolva/clomid.
If you have any accutane questions you can PM me as I sometimes miss threads in here and don't get to answer. I'm pretty well versed on it so I can answer almost anything you'd like to know..... i think

If a doc precribed it he will run blood test every month to check your liver. If you have health insurace then this is def the way to go. It would be cheaper in the long run.

Drink plenty of water while on Tane, I used it once and my member got really dry. Long story short, I got a "friction cut" that ended up being infected which lead to a UTI. Not very fun at all.
However, the drug works wonders. I've only used it at 20mg/day for 3 months at a time.
I used to have bad blackheads on my nose area and it basically has eliminated them all permanently. One more cycle and I should be clear as day. Oh, and I used my accutane while on Test Prop, through PCT with Nolvadex and Clomid.
I had liver panels tested and my AST/ALT was hardly elevated at all. I would recommend using it for sure! Just drink LOTS OF WATER to stay hydrated because this shit drys you OUT!

Totally useless.
Doc put me on it 4 times in my teens and did ZERO for my acne.

it did wonders for me.
I never had any suicidal thoughts, but that is a big warning. The doctor that prescribed me said that the big warning and folklore that has led everyone to believe that people imediatly become suicidal when they start was due to some senator whose son committed suicide soon after starting Acutane and the senator just wanted something to scapegoat his sons death on. (I don't know how much of this is true or not)
Just be careful because it will dry your skin out like nobodies business, proactively start to use a cosmogenic lotion (which means won't clog pores) as soon as possible. My skin got so incredibably dry that I was having two or three nose bleeds a day and people started to think I was doing coke.

I took accutane a few months back and have had zero acne since. Not even while on cycle and we will see if PCT brings it.
I was on a high dose due to many years of cystic acne all over my back. I was on 120 mgs/day for 6 months. Those first couple of months i didnt notice a thing. If anything my acne got worse at first and the dryness was horrible. Once i figured out how to deal with the chapped lips, dry skin, and joint pain it was smooth sailing. Around 3 or 4 months i saw a reduction in the acne. Over the next two it was nonexistent.
It was harsh for me but well worth it after trying everything else out there. Ive used everything and its the only thing that worked. My suggestion is looking up Dr. Dans Cortibalm. Without that lip balm i dont know what i would have done. The first month i had cracked bleeding lips that if i opened my mouth too wide i could feel the skin rip. I found that stuff and in two day the inflammation was gone and theyh were healing. Within a week my lips were completely healed, no cracks, and i didnt have any other problems with them as long as i used the cortibalm daily

I got pharmacy grade stuff so I know its good. I am getting dry skin and chapped lips. I may check out cortibalm if the chap stick doesn't keep it under control.

I tired all the medicated ones in the store and not one did it. I was putting tons on all the time until i found that stuff.
The guy made it specifically for when people are on treatments that chap lips like accutane. I would buy them a few at a time online and they were worth it
