Online anti-aging clinic scripts?
So let's say I gotta script from my anti-aging doc for some test, but he's only having it filled at a particular compounding pharmacy, then shipped to my door. What's the best way to verify the authenticity of the test product this pharmacy produces? Is this a scam operation or a real script being filled at a real compounding pharmacy? (generally speaking, as I can't name names) Without getting into too many details about who and where, am I on the right track here? (Age: 31)

In theory, I should be able to take this "script" to any pharmacy and have it filled, right? So why do I need to have it shipped to me from one particular pharmacy? That's my cause for concern. Perhaps it's a fake script? These anti-aging clinics are pushing the boundaries, that's for sure.

Perhaps the relationship they have with a pharmacy...they meet pharmacist at conferences and throw them the business.
It is not like there are compounding pharmacies on every corner...YET...
I would not concern myself with this---mine did the same thing. Ordered stuff from all across the country. Then later, once established, I could get it where I wanted. I love going out to the mailbox...to get my prize!Last edited by SlimmerMe; 09-18-2010 at 11:38 AM.

Got it. Just making sure. Their methods seem a little dicey, but it is what it is. I guess I'll know for sure once I start pinning in a few weeks.

Not dicey..just routine...vey common....and if you are concerned at all in the back of your mind, then call the compounded pharmacist and get the main pharmacist on the phone..I have done this numerous times...just did it again yesterday. They are cut from a different cloth. They LOVE imparting information. They love talking about all of this stuff.

This makes sense. I'm just being extra careful. My doc sent me a blood work referral form to have my own bw done. There is white-out all over the form from where it was filled out for someone else lol. That's why I said "dicey". I'm sure once I print out the form, the white out won't be discerned, but still lol. Hopefully this all turns out as well as I could hope for.
