any advice for losing too much weight too fast on a cut?
I started cutting a week ago and already my strength is slightly down and my weight was down by 6lbs first thing in the morning. Obviously I am not eating enough and doing too much cardio along with EC stack. Any tips for getting back on track like regaining my strength without regaining fat?
I am thinking a huge cheat meal right about now that is high in carbs, or a refeed day. I am off cycle btw (cruising on 200mg test-e)

how long since your last cycle?? you are bound to lose some strength if you just came off.. so it would be a combo of just coming off and starting to cut... which is why most people recomend bulking 2 months after last bulk cycle before you start to cut so your drops are not dramatic.. this is of course speculating that you just came off cycle

when cutting, increase cardio for 2 weeks before diet is dropped into a defecite

If its your first week, keep going for a few more to see what happens. I find my nutrional timing plays a huge part in strength when I am cutting. 6lbs in one week is quite aggressive, I aim for 2-3lbs and my strength seems stable. I'd either throw in some more carbs or back off on the cardio a bit if you continue at 6lbs a week!

I just finished a workout an hour ago. I'm thinking of getting a large pepperoni pizza from dominoes right now and then going back to my regular cut diet. I will stop the cardio too for now
anyone think this is a good idea? I look really shredded right now btw which I am happy about, but my strength was lower during my workout this morning

yeah just proceed with it.. its too late now.. and i don't think you will continue to lose weight/strength at that rate.. it is just a quick drop at first and then will level out to normal loses of 1lbs a week or so.. but doing a cardio load day is not unheard of, but i am no diet expert..

dont worry too much, most of the 6lbs will be water

agree, it seems like you need to get a carb balance figured out

I ended up skipping the pizza and instead had 2 cups of oats instead of my usual 1, along with 30g protein from chicken. I am just going to double my carb intake today, then go back to what I've been doing all week but with slightly increased carbs.
good plan?

incrementaly up the carbs, you know your body and you'll find what works

yea I mean I have still been eating nearly 3k calories with carbs slightly higher than my bodyweight. I manage a restaurant for a living so I just eat there 3 times a day. In total I eat 7 meals per day on work out days and 6 on off days. On cycle towards the end I was chowing down roughly 4000 cals daily. Perhaps I should have started higher

well yes, a drastic cut would equal fast water loss, thats where your strength drop has come from. i can cut on just 100g of oats 1st thing in morn and 6 rice cakes split thru the day, along with my 220gs of protein pd and hold 90% of my strength. its trial and error till you find your spot
