    Storing gear

So i got my hand on a bladder of prop, 500ml at 100mg per ml, now i worked out that will last over 10 cycles for me, so i was thinking of transferring it into sterile vials, now question is, will the gear be contaminated over time ( after i pierce the sterile vial ) like will bacteria get through the rubber stopper hole that i pierced?

If you don't have a capper and you mean the single (or double in the case of vent needle) hole that you make with the needle when you fill the vial it should not be a big problem IMHO. Use a 27 gauge needle to vent and a 22 gauge to fill (heat the oil before transferring) and the holes should seal up pretty well (a lot better than a bladder) or you could bite the bullet and get a crimper for around $180 They are on sale at....You guessed it AR-R LOL.

I am relutant to post this but you could take a finger from a sterile glove (or even better those little finger cots) and place that over the end of the vial and seal it with a rubber band, this will keep dirty air off the top of the vials septum and reduce any chance of contamination.

Unless you take a chunk of rubber out of the stopper with an 18g, it will seal itself. That is the whole point of the multidose vial.

i would think if you swab the top of the vial with an alcohol swab and use fresh needles every time you pierce the seal you would be fine.
