Well you can't keep allll your gains, because some of it is water retention, but I'm sure someone around here has kept an impressive percentage...

Hormones are really powerful, which is why we use them. Honestly, removing the deluge of androgens from the blood stream is def going to cost you muscle. No way around it. That said, there's no reason you shouldn't have good permanent gains.

This depends on a few very basic things: How close you are you too your genetic potential, and your diet and workout. If you used a cycle to go from newb to to your genetic potential, you should be able to keep most of your gains if you can manage your diet correctly. If you are a freak, you are going to lose some. I'd venture a guess that most have not yet reached their GP, and should keep most of your gains, sans water weight.

It really comes down to how close to your genetic potential you are (as other people said). On top of that though, there is other factors, such as what you ran for your cycle and what the dosages were, how fast your PCT brought you back, your diet and of course how you train. But yeah, I don't think anyone keeps ALL of their gains, but you should still be able to keep at the very least more than half.

How are we measuring this percentage?? Your scale weight may stay the same after cycle if not near genetic potential as stated above, but you will loose 'gains'. Strength is something that would be largely unmaintainable.

Broken record but never ever will 100% of what you gained be kept.
As always keep a clean consistent diet, train with intensity and follow a PCT suited to you. It takes a couple tries running but personally I believe I've found a good route for when I do my bulking cycles.

Everyone is different. Just do a proper pct eat and train and you'll keep most of it.

lol if i could keep 10% of my gains from a cycle id be 300 fkn pounds. Once your genetic potential is reached and your metabolism has stabalized with diet kept the same you will lose most if not all of your gains, just how the game works.

I don't understand this one thing....
So let's say someone is 150lbs and his genetic limit is 200lbs.Say he cycles and puts on 20lbs and reaches 170.If he loses most of it and gets down to 155 doesn't that mean that he wouldn't have got to 170 anyway without aas?

Like powerlifter said i think you can expect to lose strength pretty much straight away

To do that you would need to cycle before you hit your genetic potential.

Taking high dosages of anabolic steroids gives your body several times more testosterone than the body could ever produce naturally. This massive amount of hormones is what causes you to be so much bigger and stronger while on it. I would think it would be impossible to keep 100% of your gains. In my opinion, if you are close to or are at your natural limit, even a 10% permanent gain would be incredible.
