HCG question

I have a couple HCG questions if you all dont mind lending a hand.

I have 10,000iu of unmixed sterile hcg pregnyl in a sealed glass ampoule. it also came with another sealed glass ampoule of what I think is sodium chloride (dont have the bottle on hand right now).

question 1. when I mix my hcg do I mix all of the sodium chloride, or whatever it is in with it?

question 2. When I mix my hcg with the bac water I wanted to make sure my calculations were right. 10,000 iu of hcg with 4ml of bac water, when I draw hcg out into insulin needle at the 10 mark that should be 250 iu.. right?

question 3. i have always been led to believe that hcg is for sub q injections but on my box that i recieved it says for IM injections only... does it really matter?

SubQ for hCG and use the bac. water. Throw sodium chloride away. It's not necessary.

Your calculations look correct to me.

Thanks.. call me curious but what is the sodium chloride for? and why does it say on the box "for IM injection only"?

Sodium Chloride is generally for IV's (saline solution NaCl, or medication additive) to help balance electrolyte levels. It's basically sterile salt water.

yeah I knew what it was used for in IVs but wasnt sure why it would come with the hcg .. and still kinda unclear about why it says for IM use only.. thats buggin me a little to be honest.

HCG can be injected IM or SubQ from what iv gathered, its debatable on which way is more effective but iv done both and works just the same.

P.S your bac water solution calculations r correct

Toss the sodium chloride.
Calculation is.....CORRECT!!
Sub Q or IM makes not a difference in the world. The main reason to go IM with steroids is because they are oil based. As you know HCG is water based.
