You eat to many bananas.
A quick Google search showed the following. I'm sure you could have used Bing of Yahoo also.
High blood potassium levels may be caused by damage or injury to the kidneys. This prevents the kidneys from removing potassium from the blood normally.
High blood potassium levels can also be caused by conditions that move potassium from the body's cells into the blood. These conditions include severe burns, crushing injuries, heart attack, and diabetic ketoacidosis.
Taking too many potassium supplements can also cause high levels of potassium in the blood.
Too much acid (pH) in the blood makes potassium levels higher by causing the potassium in the body's cells to "leak" out of cells and into the blood.
Some medicines, such as angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors, can cause high potassium levels.Last edited by lovbyts; 08-01-2011 at 02:03 AM.

So to summarize lovbyts' post, your doc is afraid that your kidneys are not properly functioning (though there could be other causes).

Did you try Google, Bing, Yahoo yet? There are a few other search engines if you need suggestions. Sometimes it's a good idea to do some of your own research when your health is concerned instead of being spoon feed from people who dont know you and may give you poor advise. No one knows you better than you.
Please do some homework.

im not asking to be spoon feed no need to be rude or on your high horse.
I thought the chances would be very high that someone on this site has been through the exact same thing and would have some good knowledge !
And yes i am searching the web for answers but some of the mumbo jumbo gets me confused

Hmmmm maybe I should edit out the information I already provided to you? I'm only suggesting that since it's your health at risk maybe you should do some of the leg work yourself since you know all the details such as your supplements and 100s of other factors non of us know. Where is my thank for what I already provided? Who is being rude here? Better look in the mirror.
A simple yes you are web searching also and still confused wouldn't work from you?

It's a site to help you learn to educate yourself to make the best decisions. It's not as simple as you ask a question and everyone gives you an answer although be it the name Q&A. It's more education and learning from others experiences. Yes maybe someone here will have had the same thing happen. Even if they did and they have a solution that worked for them it does not mean it will work for you and all things may not be equal. Best beet is to educate yourself more with searching, reading and see what the blood test come up.
In the mean time drinking a lot of water. Warm water is better than cold water. Google Kidneys and warm water.

Do u know what your level was exactly? Normal range is 3.5-5 low potassium is much more common than high potassium. It's really hard to eat enough to push ur level over 5. Almost exclusively high k is kidney or medication related.
