Cruising with Test.
Hello All –
I was talking with a guy at the gym who has the size I want, (currently I am 35, 5’6”, 185#’s, 46” chest and 31” waist, not sure of BF, eat fairly clean and hit the gym 5 days a week). Any way I have cycled in the past, and am now on a 600mg test cyp per week. He was telling me that if I want to keep my current size, and keep gaining and what he is doing , would be finish the current 12wk cycle and then cruise with 250mg per week for like 8 weeks, get my blood work done and then maybe go back to 600mg per week for 10 or 12 weeks and then back to a cruise.
Is this the way to go??

Blasting n cruising will help you achieve gains faster and help you keep more than cycling on n off, but it will also be hell on your endocrine system.
As a rule, your time on cycle + pct should equal time off cycle so the body can recover as much as possible.
The longer/more often you cycle, the harder it is to recover. If you chose to blast and cruise for a long period of time the chances of a full recovery are slim. You have to ask yourself if getting that big that fast is worth risking going on trt for life.Last edited by jasc; 01-05-2012 at 11:36 AM.

Cruising at 250mg seems high as you probably won't even get close to natural levels, but I am sure the hardcore guys cruise at a high dose. Question is, are you willing to sacrifice your health for this size? You would want to keep a close eye on your BP and blood work. I wouldn't think it would be worth it unless you planned (and had the genetics and dedication) to compete at an elite level, which would be tough at 35.
This is a marathon, not a sprint. The goal should be to add muscle at a rate that doesn't wreck your body.
My TRT dose is 200mg/week, so your dose isn't totally outlandish. The difference is that I am on TRT because my body makes almost no testosterone naturally, while you will be possibly ruining your body's ability to produce testosterone. It will also affect red blood cell count, cholesterol, blood pressure and other things.Last edited by JohnnyVegas; 01-05-2012 at 12:54 PM.

It’s a good point, cause I know a lot of people who are even younger than 40 doing a trt…

It's the way to go if you are dedicated to fitness and AAS and want to go on HRT for it.

Nope, my body just shut down. Had never taken AAS before. Hell, because of a spinal injury I hadn't even been to the gym in six years. I started TRT and got back to the gym exactly one year ago.
I defer to Bonaparte. He is more experienced and I have never seen a bad post with his name on it.

You surely don't want to bridge using the same test cypionate till your next cycle, people use something milder to bridge with, such as primobolan depot, Metenolone Enanthate . And where would your pct come in?

bridging completely different then cruising. the point of cruising is you DONT come test.helps keep your gains from previous cycle while ur getting your body ready to blast the hormones again.you dont run a pct while you cruise, some ppl will take hcg and an ai. ai isnt needed on a cruise dose but the hcg doesnt hurt.
and rasil. it depends how dedicated you are like bonaparte said, im cruising/never coming off and i absouletly love it, and at your age a good dose of testosterone could only increase the quality of life, just watch your health, get blood tests ect

so 'cruising' is the cool sounding unofficial version of TRT? why not just do proper TRT?

Thanks for the reply’s.. I am dedicated and have been working out for the past 11 years. I really like the gains I make while on test, and don’t want to lose them, and when I am on I really do feel better all the way around..

I am also thinking about going on cruise dose for the first time. Does TRT kill your chances of having kids even if hcg is used throughout?

No it does not kill your chances but lowers them some. Everyones body is different. Some bounce back fast some don't. But if u cruise or go on try do not self medicate. Go to the doctors and discuss.
