    First Cycle Diet Help

    Hi guys I have a new diet plan that I made after getting advice on here, and I wanted to see if this diet will help me lose fat and gain a decent amount of muscle while doing a 12 week Test E cycle. This cycle will be my first cycle I train hard 5x a week and 1 day lighter, I'll be doing 6 days cardio starting off with 30min fasted morning cardio then getting up to 1 hour.

    My stats:
    25 years old
    5'10
    17-18%bf according to calipers
    Been training for about 6 years

    Diet:

    Meal 1 - 50g whey - 260cals

    Meal 2 - 7 egg white, 1 egg, 1 toast, 1 chicken sausage - 500cals

    Meal 3 - .5lb ground chicken, whole grain tortilla, salad - 450cals

    Meal 4 - 3 chicken thighs, 1 yam- 550cals

    Pre workout - 50g whey - 260cals

    Post workout - 50g whey, oats- 320cals

    Before bed - 25g casein - 120cals

    You need to eat 6 meals per day and drink whey in between meals
    example
    Meal 1
    2 boiled eggs
    rolled oats with raisins

    Meal 2 chicken breast with sweet potatoe

    Meal 3 Tin of Tuna and sweetcorn with baked pototoe or salad

    Meal 3 Chicken with brown rice onions garlic

    Meal 4 Tuna salad

    Meal 5 Chicken breast with salad

    Meal 6 omelet with salad

    You need to feed your body at least 23 grams of protein every 3 hours forget calories work out the protein and complex carbs your diet can be tailored for your goals

    I thought it was mainly about calories and I have enough protein and I can add some more complex carbs like another sweet potato and some brown rice, the reason I have so many whey shakes is because I know exactly what's in them and their easy and fast to have.

    By the look at your BF you are more likely to be Endomorph however you may be close to Mesomorph body type
    You do not take enough protein at the right times
    rule of thumb 2grams of protein per 1lb of weight if your weight is 200lb then you require 400 grams pf protein for bodybuilding
    your complex good carbs sweet potatoes, brown rice ad wholewheat pasta
    You really need help with your diet plan and lose more bf before starting any cycle

    You can do better than that. I suggest you post this in the Nutrition Section for those guys and gals to critique.

    I can easily add more protein in it but I need to know around what number of calories I need to gain some muscle and still lose fat while on cycle. Once I figure out a good number of calories then I can make a better diet plan

    Check this out.. it's a stickie in the Nutrition forum.. follow the formula and it will give you a close estimation of your caloric needs. Also, as a good rule of thumb, you typically increase calories by up to 25% while on cycle.

    1 small change I noticed, you should add a complex carb in your first meal (shake). You need a slow burning energy source, otherwise you will just burn protein. Try adding in a 1/2 - 1 cup ground up whole grain oats.
