Why is HCG used throughout cycle and not during PCT?

Im looking specific information or studies on why we run HCG throughout cycle and not during PCT. It seems to be a standard protocol to run 2 x 250iu per week and maybe up that to a few extra doses in the last week of cycle but why not continue to run it during and even after PCT to continue helping with recovery?

    Cheers

    Gonzo

Cheers swifto but my question is why we dont continue to use it through PCT and beyond if needed?

Lets say you started HCG half way though a cycle and already had astrophy, what would you suggest there?

Also doesnt it increase estrogen and decrease testosterone ? Which would kinda defeat the purpose using it in pct.

I think it's because the whole point of PCT is to get the body to start releasing LH which stimulates the testes to produce test. HCG acts as LH, but it supposedly suppresses the body's natural LH production. Clomid and Nolva, on the other hand, stimulates natural test production by signaling the brain to release LH. That's why HCG is best run on cycle to prevent testicle shrinkage which would make recovery easier during the PCT phase.

When running AAS your HPTA is shut down so you don't really have endogenous LH/FSH at this time. HCG mimics LH to keep your testies somewhat functional. You need to stop the HCG to allow your own system a chance to normalize. Clomid/Nolva are SERMS and do what's stated in post #6.

Cheers for all the info guys...

Lets say you get some astrophy upto half way though your cycle as your HCG was bunk, then you got a scrpt so you know its legit. What would be agood protocol in this position?

250 IU 3 x per week would work. If it's a 10ml bottle of Bacteriostatic Water for 10,000 IU of HCG , don't mix the full 10 ml of water. Just use 4ml then pull back to .10 on your insulin syringe when you inject....
