HCG for weight loss?
Just curious if I'm missing something here? As far as I know hcg is not going to magically burn fat. The reason I'm asking is three coworker's wives are taking it and swear they lost weight because of it. They got it from a "source" and not at a clinic and none of their diets are great, definately nowhere near a 500-1000 calorie diet.

Just another Hollywood hyped diet. It wont last and it wont work at all if you dont diet. They just arent telling you how little they are eating compared to before.

This was a fad that was going around a couple years ago, I remember hearing all about it and it was on TV all over the place. It's crap, plain and simple.

The weight loss is from the extreme deficit in the diet. From what I've read the only role the hcg play is to prevent your body from entering "starvation" mode and help prevent muscle wasting during the weight loss. How effective it is at doing these things I have no idea. It's just another fad that will die as soon as the next new thing comes along.

I take HCG by script and it says in the brochure that it will not promote weight loss.

I've seen it work pretty fast for men who were on it along with the previously mentioned 500 cal per day diet and phentermine. I think there are better and safer ways to go, though.

You'll find that when they start eating normal again they will put all the weight back on because of the effect the very low cal diet is having on there metabolism.

Been on hcg for quite some time, due to TRT weight loss comes from a proper diet. My personal experience.
