    Cutting Strategy Question

    My question is 2 fold:
    A. I want to begin a cutting cycle in a few months. What is the best approach?
    B. As part of this cycle, i intend to up my cardio to about 1hr/day. How should I adjust my weight training? Should I reduce my sets and/or weights?

My current regimen has yielded great progress. I train each bodypart once per week (15-20 sets) with calves/abs 2-3 times per week.

I am currently eating between 3500-4000 cal/day mostly clean. I know I'll have to tighten the diet. I've been on trt for 2 years.

    Stats:
    Age: 47
    Training: 13 years
    Height: 5'9"
    Weight: 250
    BF: 12-14%
    Cycle Experience: 4 10wk test-c 500mg/wk

Any advice on cycle/training strategy would be greatly appreciated. Also, any insight as to what I might expect regarding strength loss due to the dieting would be welcome as well

Diet, eat clean and reduce calories by 500. Also I do cardio twice a day at 45mins each time. Keep your heart rate low to keep it in the fat burning zone, big fan of heart rate monitors. Anytime you cut you will lose some strenght/muscle. Increasing your protein will help also while cutting btw.

Calorie intake is quite high for a cut. Are you sure you're at 12-14% BF? 5.9' tall and 250, that's a considerable amount of muscle you're carrying.

Anyway, cardio at an hour a day will do wonders for you. Without looking at your diet exactly it will be hard to tell.

You don't have to change your weight training routine (if it's decent). You should lose all lactose from your diet, introduce green tea as part of your daily liquids. Drink your shakes with water if they have carbs, especially if they are from dextrose, fructose or lactose. It really sounds like you dont need to cycle and just fix your diet and training. Consider posting exactly what you eat in the nutri section to get advice form the pros there, they can tweak it for you.

i would concentrate more on diet rather than cardio.. not saying dont do cardio.. but i would prob do about 25-30 minutes max if i was trying to get leaner .. unless u are doing a show and that is a whole different animal..

also i would train my ass off no matter what your goal is.. the harder you train the better you become..
