Water weight gain while dieting -- What can you do to shed it?

I've noticed the last few days that my skin is looking a little puffy. I wore a sports bag on my back while on a 3 mile run yesterday and noticed puffy lines on my shoulders. I'm figuring this is just water retention.

In a situation like this, I know a cheat day will typically help drop the water, but does anyone have any other tips or suggestions?

100 views...and no suggestions? Come on!

I've used diurex before with some success, and I know dandelion root is a common herbal. Anything else?

Drink more water. Examine your diet. May have just been a temporary reaction to something you ate.

Caffeini, saunas and alcohol all Expell water from your body temporarily, but you simply gain it back after the affects wear off.

Cardio and drinking lots of water is best

No AAS. I don't feel i'm at my genetic limit yet. I want to hit 200 @ 15% or less before I cycle.

I just tend to hold a lot of water when I cut this fast. I'm dropping at about 3lbs a week. 1500cal intake daily, 500-1000cal HIIT/steady state cardio every day

More water, and green tea. I take about 40 minutes of sun two or three times a week, that helps

Currently doing 1.5-2gals, have been in that habit for like two years now. It's pretty much second nature to have a gallon jug with me everywhere I go!

Nah, It's different. I've done the same run a few times before and just had some lines. This time they were raised and puffy. Idk, i'll just hit the diurex I guess.
I'm just impatient when it comes to weight loss. Down 1% in two days....and my body is protesting more and more as I go on.

My guess is your body is trying to resist the loss....maybe ramp up the cardio intensity a bit

take a hard look at your diet and reduce the sodium intake if there is any. Makes a big difference for me.

cut sodium, dairy and gluten intake (cut bread, sodium, milk, cheese, pasta, etc)

works for me. i also combine it with some masteron for the anti-estrogen benefits and a natural diuretic, green tea.

Most of the time I have to add salt to my food to make sure I hit my needs for the day. Basically all of my food is fresh, unprocessed, salt free. I just make sure I hit 2000mg/day to make sure my blood pressure doesn't drop. Zero dairy in my diet, but I have about a cup of whole wheat pasta post workout. Maybe I'm gluten sensitive or something. Hmm.

maybe this is something that i am not aware of but i have never added sodium to my diet or spoke to anyone thats added sodium for nutritional needs. Sodium is in almost everything we eat especially our protein sources. I bet if you post up your diet in the diet section those gurus could help you more than you think.
