Swollen neck / plunging ranula???
Hey guys - newbie to the forum here and really looking forward to all the insight and knowledge I can learn from everyone here. Thought I'd start by seeing if anyone has had any experience with or heard of a "plunging ranula" before??
What it is: "A ranula is a type of mucocele found on the floor of the mouth. Ranulas present as a swelling of connective tissue consisting of collected mucin from a ruptured salivary gland duct, which is usually caused by local trauma."
They can either swell upwards under the tongue or downwards "plunging" creating a swelling of the neck. I've had mine for almost 10 months now. I was using some over the counter T boosters at the time like 2TX and other OTC supps but not sure if that could have anything to do with it.
Not sure if this is the best spot to post this but figured since it was Q&A would be good. May be a long shot - but with everyone on here seeming pretty knowledgeable about so many things with the human body I figured maybe someone has heard of it and may know an alternative to surgery as I'm going in for a cat scan this week.
Thanks for reading! Open to any and all feedback!

What is the steroid -related question?
I wish that I or someone else here could help you, but you're asking about something that is outside the realm of what we deal with here. I think you should see a doctor for this.

Yup - Already have and about to have surgery for it. Just thought I would check and see if anyone else has any anything similar to this before. I've heard of different cycles possibly causing things like this so thought I might find someone with similar experience on here.
