Never understood exactly what they were. I hear a lot of people talking bout them. But usually always back bumps from a certain chemical.

Are pumps like cramps? Recently my lower quads just above my knees constantly tighten to the point of cramping. I have uped my water intake. Still hasn't gone away. Thinking bout adding taurine. Not sure on dosage.

Any thoughts? I know potassium too for cramps...but would this be considered pumps? Or any other thoughts?

Not sure about pumps. Could be muscle spasms. Is the tightness consistent?

No I can usually lock out the cramp. But I think u r right with spasms. The muscle twitch then tighten.

Pumps are consistent. By your description I'm pretty sure it's muscle spasms. Which happens.

pump i would consider when you feel the muscle to be full of blood to where its tough to use it.

You seem more of a spasm or cramp

The greatest feeling you can get in a gym, or the most satisfying feeling you can get in the gym is... The Pump. Let's say you train your biceps. Blood is rushing into your muscles and that's what we call The Pump. You muscles get a really tight feeling, like your skin is going to explode any minute, and it's really tight - it's like somebody blowing air into it, into your muscle. It just blows up, and it feels really different. It feels fantastic.

See understand all that and feel that. But why do people complain about back pumps then?

Lol heard and that's why I ended up starting this thread an the question. I think mine are more like spasms like previously stated. I do not think the test or the mast would cause the pumps unless I am wrong on this.

But all the more knowledge now and know what to look for.

If you find anything to get rid of spasms let me know lol. I'm gonna try potassium/taurine together to sere if I can get rid of mine. Plus cramps are awful so hopefully it helps with that to
