Blasting and Cruising and TRT
So I have done 2 cycles now and I am contemplating just doing a blast and cruise. I realize that doing long cycles mean that you will likely need TRT once you stop blasting and cruising for the rest of your life. I have read up quite a bit on TRT in some of the stickies on this site but still had a few questions and would love to hear some people's opinions who are experienced in TRT.
1. Does blasting and cruising and/or TRT highly diminish your chances of having children? (I have none yet but want to eventually)
2. How long after coming off of a long blast and cruise did it take for doctors to get you on a TRT program?
3. If TRT was not covered by your health insurance how expensive was it?
4. Overall are you happy with the decisions you made that led you to TRT and it's effect on your life? Basically, any regrets?

Me, no. Mine was a necessity due to a tumor so I had no choice. Given the choice I would avoid it like the plague until I needed it.
Don't get me wrong, TRT is a life saver if you need it. And all of us will eventually. But to exacerbate the risk of having to go on it early does not make sense. It is not fun and I would love to have normal, natural T levels. You made the comment you want to have kids. Then why take the risk? You can still do short term cycles and probably recover just fine while making progress. Unless your getting ready to hit the pro ranks or are making a living from something related to your physique then it's really not worth it, IMHO. Your long term health, kids, etc are all far more important than blasting and cruising just to be a bit bigger than the normal guy. As you get older what I said will sink in. I hope you make the correct decision for you.
Good luck.

I agree with Kel 100%!
I've seen a trend on here lately of ppl saying they are willing to commit to TRT in their 20's and 30's when they are perfectly healthy! WTH? If you were in a position to make a hell of alot of $ MAYBE! Otherwise why on earth put yourself in a position where a life long med issue causes the need to pin for the rest of your life?
Guys on TRT feel great...but thats because they didnt feel great before! Most will tell you like Kel, they would never choose T?RT if it asnt a necessity!
If done right cycling cn be very productive with fewer rsks!

TRT Shouldn't be taken so lightly over a few pounds of muscle. At over 50 it has been a life saver, previously struggling with weight gain, loss of muscle, estrogen induced gyno due to lack of testosterone production. It is a. It commitment getting your meds all spot on and keeping them balanced. There is constant blood work and Doctor visits. That said I could be fat and sloppy if I chose and have the testosterone level of a 20 year old. Or I can work my ass off at the gym and eat right and be a pumped up muscle head. The big picture is what are you willing to work for regardless of the AAS.

Yes. I'm dialed in and very happy but it has taken time. Without a doubt a life saver for someone who needs it. But like Fit said it is a struggle at times, especially if you don't have a knowledgeable doctor and have to source ancillaries on your own, etc. Personally I have no doctor issues and my insurance covers literally everything. But that is the exception, not the rule.
Think about it, I have to spend the rest of my life giving myself basically 5 shots a week, two test and 3 hcg . I'm fortunate not to need an AI but most do. Speaking of which the long term effects of AI's are really still up in the air. Every time you travel, go on vacation, anything out of the norm you have to plan around your injection protocol. Pain in the ass in that aspect.

blasting and cruising is running a trt dose of test while cruising then blasting for X amount of time on a cycle dose or stack, then going back down to trt dose of test. No off time no PCT...many risks if your not already on trt!

I am grateful I found TRT. I was miserable without it. Having said that, I started TRT in my 40s and the thought of starting younger in life is horrifying. It can be expensive, injecting Test and hCG twice a week is 208 injections a year, getting your levels right can be a problem for some guys and you have to deal with long-term health issues like worse cholesterol and rising red blood cell count (among other things). It can cause infertility and if you struggle to get your hormone levels right you may have problems like erectile disfunction, emotional changes and lack of libido.
I would avoid it if possible.

These guys nailed it. I am nearly 40 and have no signs YET of needing it...although I hear Kel knocking at my door! I'm still not answering until I absolutely have to.
It's drives me nut seeing guys in their 20's asking about blasting and cruising when all they are trying to achieve is a few extra pounds of muscle and a better beach body!

The idea of pinning every week for the rest of your life at 20-25 is not a good feeling. Postpone it asking as you can if not forever

...and they think TRT is sexy. Injecting Test all the time! Wahoooo! For me the thrill was gone after six months, then it just became a part of my already busy schedule to always make sure I had Test, hCG and syringes and needles. I had to remember to inject and figure out how to deal with it while traveling. I got increased acne and body hair on my back and shoulders. I had to figure out how to put off the doctor that wanted blood tests while I was blasting and when to give blood to lower my RBC.
Crap, I used the last of my hCG on Saturday and forgot to order more. Since they won't let me have extra, this is always a problem unless I want to purchase from a shady place.

No Dr. Visit no test. No blood work. No test. The thrill wore off after a few months.
