Muscular Flexibility: The Hard Look and Superficial Fascia of our Muscle
When someone achieves a muscular hard look does this affect one's flexibility (or is the look simply a function of bodyfat)? I'm asking because I do ballet/gymnastics and retaining flexibility will be crucial when I'm on cycle. Food for thought, when my legs are tight and overworked my quads feel hard, like the muscle feels like a rock. I usually break out the foam roller when this happens and perform some myofascial release.
Which leads me to the next question? Would I need to foam roll or stretch more frequently when I'm on cycle? Do the compounds do anything to superficial fascia of our muscle?

What?
The more muscle you build the less flexible you will be in certain areas. Just like fat, "more" interferes with flexibility.~ PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR SOURCE CHECKS ~

lol. all i know is that my hips get extra tight the day after heavy singles of atg squats. Is this because something is happening to the muscle or is it bc of fatigue of the muscle? If its the latter, since I'll have quicker recovery on cycle, I won't have to worry about fatigue causing inflexibiliy. If its the former, I won't constantly push for new pr max singles every workout. Or maybe my BroLogic isn't sound lulz

What's all this foam roller talk? Just got get a good massage and call it good. Much easier and more fun. My buddy had the right idea. He lives in Philippines and has a massage student come over to the house ever other day to give him a good massage. $10 or less including tip.
