If donating blood is not an option are there any other ways to lowering your hematocrit?

Some say sapirin but aspirin only helps by somewhat thinning blood and reducing clots, but doesn't lower hct. Similar to those prone to heart attacks/strokes whose doctors tell them take aspirin.
Two ways to lower: give blood or find source of high hct and stop for 4-6 weeks. If really high (over 50) I'd deal with it right away.
A good way to take it down lower than standard donation is donate double red cells (I think u can do this anywhere that does blood donations - red cross does it).

They'd likely have a better chance if you were less than 25% bf

Nah has nothing to do with that unfortunately. Even when I was 15 or whatever you guys think I was in my first pic they could never find a good vein on me. I have good veins in the forearm but for some reason the only allowed to use the ones on your arm elbow pit

i know.what u mean about ppl getting a vein. Having a history.of svt and operations etc. Im more than happy watching them take bloods and the like. No problem. But yeh. It seems like they take on average 2-4 goes to get it right. Arms or even hands bruised to hell. N u can feel the bump of my veins too. See em clear as day to the point my missus hates heing able to see em. I think its.simply they dont either have enough experience or need to have a bullseye tatood on ur arm.
    But.
If u need to do it. Im.sorry to say. U just gotta get it done. Im pretty lucky in that respect. ;-)

Should have never started with high hCT. You should stop the cycle and get your blood levels fixed. I've drained myself before, but I don't recommend it. Try donating double red cells. I don't know anyone that was sent home because they "couldn't find a vein".

Fish oil may help, but won't do anything if you're cycling.

Correct. Aspirin will thin the blood, preventing clots. It will not lower hematocrit.

Ive heard.ppl self draining. But didnt want to advise it. If u were gunna do it. Dont do it alone. U get lightheaded n faint or blackout (n im not sayin this would happen), but common from things like double red cell procedure to feel "light headed', but yeh. Id get sorted prior to a cycle simply as a std protocol if nothing else. U wanna be "at ur best" on a cycle. U certainly dont wanna risk makin it worse.

I couldn't agree more. I wouldn't have started the cycle if I knew there would be such a problem with me donating blood. I just assumed I would be able to donate a couple pints and be good to go that's why I started my cycle even tho it was currently on the high side. Next time I go I will be persistent and say I'm not leaving until you find something. Is it okay if I tell them my HCT is really high or should I not tell them not?

Also I'm familiar with the double red cell procedure but with that procedure they don't take a full pint out the only way I can get a full pint taking out is if I get the regular procedure so would it be better to get the one pint or still better to get the double RBC even though it won't be as much actual blood?

    Yes true. But its more "what" they take out over how much, here;
Double red cell donation is similar to a whole blood donation, except a special machine is used to allow you to safely donate two units of red blood cells during one donation while returning your plasma and platelets to you.

So. In essence you could argue theyre taking double. I think they add saline back too. Im sure aust could give u more insight.

I only looked into it due to being anal about it all cuz my svt.
After all my worrying. Ive been fine. And my svt has even calmed somewhat.
    (Touch wood)
No hidden meaning there (pann) lolz

I don't know of any drug that will speed the destruction of RBCs, but you could always overdose on blood thinners and internally haemorrhage

Isn't eating 1/2 a grapefruit a day supposed to help with red blood cell control?

Supra ventricular tachycardia. Heart rate above 150 is technically svt even though we've all done that during cardio. Svt may or may not be effort induced and I have see hr of 240 plus many times and even though it is called ventricular, it begins in the atrial valve.

Do you take medication or can you control it with vagual stimulation?

No foolio I said you can only have them take blood every 56 days. If you go and they don't take blood you can go as much as you want. I could care less what you think. You have no useful accurate information ever
