Capper question

Alright guys I have a quick question hopefully I explain it well enough that someone can give me a quick easy answer.

If someone purchased sterile sealed vials like the one in this picture,
How do you seal the top with a flip cap? There has to be some crimper out there and a place where one can get just the flip off cap because I have scene it done. For example 5:20-5:30 in this video (youtube american underworld steroids , I cant post the link

)

I know that someone could buy separate vials, stoppers and flip tops that can all be crimped but then the vials would need to be sterilized. Am I missing something?

Yes u are able to buy seperate vials/butyl stoppers/flip off caps(various colours)and crimper. Just be sure u buy all the relevant correct sizes. I.e. 20mmtopped vial goes with 20mm butyl stoppers. 20mm flip off caps and 20mm crimper. As for sterilization u must wash rinse with distilled water etc you can dry heat in a sterile glass container over 120c before filling and autoclave after filling n sealed.

You want to add the flip top to an already sealed vial?

I've never seen anyone selling just the plastic discs that comprise of the flip off lid.

Why would you want to do this any way? Shouldn't matter for personal use surely

Of course it doesn't matter for personal use, but if you can't just cap them why does anyone sell that high quantity of sterile sealed vials without the flip off lid? There has to be a way to just add the flip off lid.

I want to do this to avoid having to sterilize the vial, stopper, and top.

It's for people for transferring ampules into vials etc
In all the years I've been brewing I've never heard of the cap being added after ever.

Why can't you just filter straight into the sterile vial then?
No need for a flip top lid at all

I've done some pretty extensive searching in the last 6 months n never saw any tops on their own as pann says. If u haven't purchased these "pre sterilized vials" bearing in mind the only reason they come that way is
A. They are sealed sterile
b. You can put the solution into them

If u need to have them capped with flip offs u need to buy everything separate which is easily done with the correct tools. Just gotta fork out beforehand is all

N syringe filters are everywhere. Just ensure its sterile and .2um etc.
