Why are steroids deemed dangerous?
Noob question.
Why does everyone say steroids are dangerous? Reading about the side effects of various AAS compounds makes me think that trans fat , smoking and alcohol have a greater potential for harm than AAS. Unless there is something this site and others are not telling me?
Steroids are just modified testosterone right? Why don't the steroid haters advocate men to take anti androgens? Afterall it is testosterone that makes men live less on average than women. It just doesn't make sense.Last edited by Infinitecycling; 06-26-2013 at 10:38 PM.

Anything is dangerous in the wrong hands. Steroids , water, air... you name it.

There should be a change.org petition or something about getting steroids legal

I'm ok with it as it is now. Police in the U.S. don't go out of their way to bust steroids users like they do other schedule III's. If you don't do anything that prompts the cops to search your house youre safe, and the average kid who thinks steroids alone will make them huge overnight without a clue as to the science behind how they actually work can't just go get them easily.

Gotta agree with this. And to be fair I think the general understanding of steroids in society is more than a bit flawed. Inject -> get big. Seems to be what most people think. But if you spend more than 20 minutes on this site you'll find it's quite a bit more complicated than that between ejection scheduling, body fat, years training, nutrition, PCT, etc. You have to have a lot of ducks in a line and if you don't, it's highly likely that you fvck yourself up permanently. Look at how many posts are on this site from people that clearly have done little to no research, come here and ask questions, then basically say, "fvck you, my mind is made up, I'm gonna do what I want to do anyway."
Not sure why people take this mentality when they're injecting something into their bodies in amounts in amounts grossly more than its ever been exposed to, but it's the reality.

Big difference between use and abuse as with anything in life.

Only reason it's illegal is due to big pharma and their political kickbacks. Can you imagine a world where steroids and weed are legal, being able to go to a local store and buying to your hearts content. For crying out loud, more people die from acetaminophen overdosing each year than AAS. Ban TYLENOL!

Used in moderation they are NOT dangerous. Uneducated people, there are a lot of issues like that today. Most people just listen to the media and believe anything.

Steroids like many other drugs are dangerous, sometimes even with proper use.
