Injection Infection QUESTION NEED HELP!!!!!
Ok I'm a little freaked. Have had injection infections before and have had treated in the past. I have been running delt injections this cycle and everything has gone great so far. However being that I am running 2 shots per week a delt only has 1 week before it is injected again. My delts have gotten a little stiff I didnt think anything of it at first just standard injection of 2ml worth of oil per week.
Well today I injected my left arm and everything felt fine I could feel the test entering a little but that was it. Let the needle sit there for 5 seconds as I normally do and when I pulled it out I was greeted with a creamy white yelllow fluid leaving the injection site. I HAVE NEVER RAN ACROSS THIS IN MY LIFE.
I am week 3 into my cycle. I am currently running sus250 and eq300
The site of injection was not warm was not red? I am completely stumped? I do get my injections from my wife who is a RN and always does proper injection steps. The weirdest part is the liquid did not have an odor what so ever.
I have antibiotics to treat this I just dont know if it is worth starting maybe someone has had this happen before and can shed some light on this.
Thanks for all your help guys

I took a picture and posted on here and showed my anti-aging doc. I actually got more detailed help on here, but both had said the same response. And as you already probably know, just keep an eye on it of course.

Here is a detailed breakdown of safe IM injection sites: How To Give An Intramuscular Injection (IM Injection)
I would personally avoid the Dorsalgluteal site. Although it's the place most laypeople think of when it comes to steroid injection, and many swear by it, it is the least safe place due to the proximity of major blood vessels and nerves. It is considered a "deep IM" sight, so a 1.5' needle is typically used, although if BF is low 1' should be fine
Quads hurt a bit, but they adapt fairly quickly.
Ventrogluteal is by far the safest and most painless spot, but takes a second person to properly landmark. I'd suggest having a friend landmark this site the first few times until you're comfortable you can hit the spot without as it's only about the size of a quarter. The great thing about this spot is that there are no major blood vessels or nerves in the vicinity.
Always maintain sterile technique!
-Use a fresh needle and syringe every time.
-Check the expiry dates, and for precipitation in the packages (toss if there is).
-Ensure the amp or vial has no particulates (unless it's a suspension such as winny) ALWAYS clean the stopper on your multi-use vials with rubbing alcohol in a circular motion, from the center out.
-Draw up with one needle, then change to a fresh needle for injection as piercing the rubber stopper dulls the needle and can compromise its sterility
-Landmark the injection site, clean with alcohol from the center out, and strike in one smooth motion.
-Aspirate !!!!!!! Don't worry, if it's hard to pull and there's no blood you're good. If you're in a vessel blood will pull quite easily.
-Inject SLOWLY; keep the needle still to avoid additional trauma.
-Many suggest massaging the injection site after; this is controversial. Current best practice within my local health authority is to not massage as it is believed to cause additional trauma. I use a hot pack for 5-10 min post injection for larger injections or quads.
-NSAID's such as ibuprofen work wonders for PIP, as do hot baths. I like to use Epsom Salts to help relax the muscles.
I'm sure you already know most of this, but it doesn't hurt to cover all of the bases!!!Last edited by Bigshotvictoria; 07-03-2013 at 12:19 PM.

Well I called my doctor and he said generally a IM injection will smell if infected to the point of having puss. He said most likely it was the left over oil of the gear and it wasn't dispersing as quickly and getting mixed with I believe he said plasma. He said to switch sites and come in if it gets any worse and I will for sure do that if it does thanks for the quick feedback guys.

You should always leave an area 10-14 days before re injecting into the location and this is a perfect example why!!!

Keep rotating sites. The more pins you have to take a week the more inventive in finding new injection sites you have to be. Would be pretty embarrassing to suddenly spring a leak because you keep filling one spot with oil.
