I'm trying to learn about thyroid and what not. What I understand is tsh is basically how hard the thyroid is working. So if that's high and levels low, that's hypothyroidism. Now my total t4 was ok. Tsh low free t4 fine. T3 uptake way high

    TSH 0.609 0.450-4.500 uIU/mL
    Thyroxine (T4) 5.4 4.5-12.0 ug/dL
    T3 Uptake 44 HIGH 24-39 %
    Free Thyroxine Index 2.4 1.2-4.9

What my levels mean. Since my tsh is low, my thyroid isn't working too hard to produce levels needed. But why is t3 uptake so high? And is it something to worry about?

Your thyroid numbers look good IMO and are a result of your taking GH and t4.

TSH is low because you're supplementing with t4. TSH is regulated mainly by t3 and t4 so when those levels are at upper end of ref, the pituitary lowers TSH compensate.

T3 uptake measures the percentage thyroid-binding globulin that is bound by t4. It's basically telling how much free thyroxine or biologically active t4 is available. Yours is high because GH increases t3 uptake (or free t4 percentage), which again IMO is a healthy thyroid.

Your thyroid numbers look very similar to mine when on GH and t4.

Alright cool. My numbers from last time were similar except I wasn't on gh or t4 and tsh was 2.1. In the spring I was using gh without t4. T4 and free T4 were low. Then I read up about using it and have been every since. Guess its Doing what it's supposed to
