Is a cycle for me or not, honesty appreciated.
I have had to put off test e, cycle whilst undergoing dental treatment.
Finally I am ready, everything is laid out in front of me and ready to go.
I am sure every responsible person has doubts about what is right for them.
My story is, I have reached 53, never juiced, I have lifted since my teens, it is something I will always do.
My body is not recovering as it used to and training is starting to suffer in terms of how long I can spend pushing my body hard.
Fat is starting to build around my belly, even though my diet has not really changed over the years, I am tired most of the time due to slower recovering ability.
I need to do something and I know attitude is half the battle and I have bags of that.
I don't want to multi cycle, I want to get a kick start and recover some sort of base to work with.
Is this possible, or am I going to have to start relying on AAS for ever.
Am I in danger of shutting down my natural test for good.
Will there be no going back.
Will the sides out weigh the benefits at my age.
I am not paranoid or scared of needles, but I am cautious.
What are the the side effects of HCG , nolvadex , clomid.
I know the experienced guys and gals out there, will be saying put up or shut up and they are right, but they have been there and I have not.
This forum has made me think, maybe too much.
Views differ a lot, which is both good and bad, but that's life I suppose.
I am not after anyone's blessing, but I would appreciate anyone's personal experiences, people that have found themselves in my situation.
Only people that have been there have the knowledge required to offer positive advise.
I have read and read over the years, but have no practical experience of benefits or negatives.
Please be honest as to what you think.
One way or another I will continue lifting, but is it more damaging to my endo system pushing my body to the limits without some ass help.

Have you had blood work recently? Perhaps you can check out LowTestosterone.com . You might very well be able to do this under medically supervised conditions using TRT. Thats where I would start if I were you. This may be all you need to get yourself where you would like to be. It would seem to me age wise etc you may be the perfect candidate for this.

before you start, get a complete medical and bloodworks including metabolic and hormonal panels. don't forget to check your PSA levels.

Thanks, yes I have had bloods done in UK, not the most comprehensive test, but all I could get from my gp here in the UK, PSA levels were 1.5 if I remember correctly.
I posted the results a month or so ago, test levels are in the average range for my age whatever that means, I asked him what the test ranges were, he would not or could not tell me, I researched on line to no avail.
Doc said " you need to slow down at your age, maybe you need antidepressants, what a c**k, I tried another gp, he would not even speak to me about TRT. That's the NHS for you.
There's not to much fallout from ass use in the UK law wise, but there is little knowledge of TRT by the medical profession.
The cycle I have sitting in front of me consists of.
Test e 400 to 500 mg twice a week.
HCG . 250 iu day before test.
Armidex. Eod.
Pct, nolvadex and clomid.
I want to train and feel like I did in my thirties, I am not ready for the knackers yard yet.
My personal best sets have not improved for the last 10 years, I understand that's partly my age, but my lifts slide by up to 40% these days, I just loose all my strength, it takes about 9 months to the get back to my pb's, then bang down we go again, I have tried tailoring my training, cutting back on volume, going light, heavy ect.

I never read your post, nor did I read the comments you received. To me its simple, if you have to ask, and your not 100% sure then your not ready!

Ironbeck.
I respect your opinion and can understand it.
It's not a case of not being ready, it's if it is the right thing to do based on all the information I can absorbe.
How many people are 100% sure when that first needle pins.
Factors such as age, health ,goals ect, yes it is ultimately up to me to make up my mind, but with so much knowledge and hands on experience out there, especially from some of the older guys like myself, it would be foolish not explore any of the wisdom they have of actually having cycled and suffered both the highs and lows of ass.
But of course I take it on board, and as a matter of curiosity, how did you decide the time was right for you.
A lot of people I know take because a friends taking, they see their results and look little further.
I train alone and mostly always have therefore forums like this are Invaluable to me.
I could go down the local gym and hook up with a mate and a local dealer and bobs your uncle, i could be strutting my stuff, trouble is that's how most start. Trouble is most of those I no and it's quite a few have no idea what their doing.
No peptides or A1 cause I have done loads of gear and never had any sides.
PCT that's a waste of money you *****.
Dbol mate front stack with 60 mg.
Mate I never come off the gear, 5 mg dbol when off cycle that's the way.
Anavar , that stuffs so week, 100 mg a day won't affect you at all, no pct there bro.
This is what it is like in many gyms, you may have one guy who knows what he is doing, and ten idiots leaching off of him.

Like they said above.
Cycling wont help you, it will make you bigger and feel better, recovery faster. ... As long as you are on cycle...
You have to fix why it is like that.
The answer: the age.
You cant be 20 again but TRT may and will help you feel like it.
Like said above, get bloodwork done and see if TRT is suitable for you.
Lowtestosterone.com is a great place to start.
Good luck

I agree with others. TRT sounds like the smartest option depending on bloodwork. I'm only 37 and I've been on it for almost a year now and it's the best I've felt in years. Easiest decision I've made and I would never go back after feeling like I do. I would pull full blood panel as mentioned above even if you have to pay out of pocket for it. Then post bloodwork here and use that as a starting ground.

Thanks for the replies, anyone have any ideas where I may find a sympathetic TRT specialist in the UK.
Finance is not really a problem, I know TRT is growing in the States, but was not sure it was even possible in the UK, even if its not the way I go in the end I think a consultation may well answer a lot of my concerns.
Thank you all.

The leger clinic in Doncaster. Depends where you live as to where is convenient I guess. There are a couple of London clinics too.
At least they will do the right blood tests and tell you where you stand.NO SOURCES GIVEN

I suspect that you would be able to have a chat with Dr Savage over the phone to decide whether or not you need an appointment. Good luck
