Appreciate the information, but not sure there is a national blood donation database. I donate regularly at multiple blood banks and many times with only a few weeks passed. I have even donated at the Red Cross and a few weeks later donated at a Red Cross in a different state, I don't even believe they communicate within the same organization.
Just a little tip for those that need to lower that RBC.

    Not sure or absolutely confident?

This is enforced by the FDA and even has a deal with Canada. I have no idea how you got away with it, but the fact is, it is absolutely a national database. Blood is not a random thing, it is very regulated and a serious business.

Just sharing my experience, it really wasn't something I had to do to "get away with it". My usual routine is donate blood at Red Cross then 1 month later go to a different blood bank company in a town about 45 minutes from my home. I'm sure they don't cross reference by name because I use the same name, I do use a different address for each place. I haven't ever thought of it as a big deal all they could do is tell me no. I was a little more worried that Red Cross kept a strict data base but I have twice donated early at a different Red Cross with no problem.

Is it ethical to donate blood as a steroid user?

That's really a call that only you can make. Rest assured, however, all blood is tested. Any blood that could cause harm to a patient is destroyed. They're not just going to take your word for it.
Could I get more info on this? What about steroid user blood could be dangerous? The Test level in the blood being high? Please excuse my ignorance.

It's the fact you're injecting yourself with needles outside a doctor's supervision that's the issue. In their eyes a needle is a needle whether it's heroin or AAS.

So i had bloodwork done and my RBC is a tad higher then the reference:
It was 17,7 g/100 ml. The reference area is 13,4-17

Should i be worried? I am about to start a 10 week 750 mg test e cycle. I am in the process for registrating to donate blood, but it takes time in my country...

Hey man just wanted to get something clear. In your write up you said dehydration causes blood to be "less viscous" this would mean being dehydrated makes your blood thinner and more free flowing. Is this what you mean? In my mind it would be the opposite but I am not completely sure. Could you clarify?

Sorry not trying to nit pick I am really enjoying the article I just wanted to be straight on that for some reason haha

Dehydration thickens your blood. The word "less" shouldn't have been in there and is now fixed.

    Thanks.

Good post, Austinite. My hematocrit runs high naturally without any TRT/supplementation. I usually have an appointment set up to donate again in 8 weeks before I leave the hospital.
There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

    Hi Austinite.

It's stuff like this thread that most of us will probably never learn about, without a well educated person giving back to the world freely. I'm going through every single one of your educational threads and rewriting it in my own words before I embark on the lifestyle choice of AAS. So I would like to humbly thank you for all your hard work you've put into threads just like this one.

    Regards.

    Great post Austin.

I would add this. The % where you get serious sides is different person to person. For me at 50% I am hurting. 52% I am having vision issues. For me it is +5% normal and issues occur at fairly hard levels.

I would also add that just because you give blood it does not lower your HCT or RBC. You have to add plasma to see the net result of decrease in your tests. If you give and then run your tests the same day you will read the same. Sometimes it takes 2-3 weeks, depending on the person, to see the net decrease in readings.

As my Hemo Doc says..medical books are written with 5'6-5'8 people in mind....so if you are 6 ft and over you most likely will never be a textbook case.....why all medicine has a dose per Kg published with it.

Also keep in mind that the benefits of aspirin are realised via ibuprofen, advil, alive, tylenol, etc....so if you are taking them and asiprin you might want to take a deep dive and see if both are necessary.

Again, thank you for the post...it hits home with me.

Every time I re-read a post of yours I learn something new each time(lil things I missed or did not comprehend before!

I've got turned down 4x now due to location(collapsed ACs at elbow - from coma/surgeries) - I've just called my doc and she'll write a script, but I only need some 5/32"(or 4mm) tubing... Got the spike... Watched bass' video I feel comfortable enough to do myself - I'm not sure how to word this(where can one find the tubing)? Does it have to be from a medical supply CO?? Thx

I know this is a strong bump to an old thread, but how does doing cardio while on Test affect RBC count/ blood pressure?
