    41 yr old woman evaluating Anavar

    Hello!

    I am currently considering a Var cycle and am gathering up as much information as I can before deciding if this is right for me.

    As I said, I am a 41yr old female. I am 5'7", 135lbs and about 20% bf (can't find a bod pod in my area so I am giving you my number from a recent bio impedance analysis). I have been weight training for about 3 years now and have been in 2 competitions (masters bikini and masters fitness).

    I am looking to add more lean mass while keeping as lean as possible and from what I can see, Anavar would give a nice result based on what I am looking for, which is more figure than bikini/fitness.

    I am looking for some good, solid advice on cycling Anavar. I am in good health, although I have mild hypothyroidism which I take Synthroid for (.05mg).

    This is kind of what I have accumulated in terms of cycle/dosage:

    - Start at 10mg/day, split into 2 doses of 5mg each. I have also read 5mg split into 2 2.5 doses and then cycle up to 10mg after 2-3 weeks. Which is better?

    - Cycle should last 8-10 weeks. I personally would start with 8 weeks.

    - Tapering. Some say to taper. Other don't bother. Would the more conservative route be to taper? If so, I am a conservative person and would opt for that route.

    - PCT. I am having a hard time finding specific information for women. It doesn't look like PCT is as strict as with other AAS, however it still important. Again - I am conservative. From what I have read, a liver detox should be done (i.e. milk thistle). I also read something to help with mood rebounds...for estrogen...but I don't quite get the actual products involved. I'd love some more information on that!

    - Diet. Got it. Must eat enough quality foods in order to feed the new growth. Been eating clean for years. My biggest concern is eating enough so I will have to monitor that in-cycle.

    - Training. I currently do crossfit (2-3 times per week), weight train (2-3 times per week) and play ball hockey (2 times per week). Should I move towards more weight training while cycling?

    - Sourcing. I am totally not asking where to source from. I will figure that out when the time comes. I know Var is "expensive" however the definition of "expensive" is different for everyone lol! So...is it ok to ask about how much legit Var should cost (about)?

    Lot's of questions so here goes

    I would suggest starting at 5mg per day and working up.

    10 weeks is fine.

    Tapering down is not necessary but titrating up is a great idea.

    PCT...IMO is not necessary but there have been a cpl threads that do suggest a mild PCT for women.

    Price? Sorry this board strictly prohibits price discussion but there is plenty of info on the subject available via google.

    Thanks for the advice! It's not my first board so I am pretty aware of the scammers out there! I'm patient and meticulous too, so I'm pretty sure I'll figure out everything.

    Sorry if I broke board rules by asking about price.

    I rec to start with 5mg ed ( 2.5mg 2X a day) for 8 or so weeks then on next run maybe try 10mg ed and compare results/side effects.
    PCT for women.... I don't think they do any.
    Detox is nice idea after or near ending of cycle. I would rec NAC for liver. milk thistle is good for you, but not as its hyped ot be for liver. sure it will help but i would rec NAC from arr for liver support.

    Photos? (this forum is not as bad as others, you likely wont see dumbass comments like "show us your tits" or what not, just helps us possibly help more with seeing whats going on. also good to compare before and after shots.)

    I've had a couple close friends run 8-10 weeks of anavar at 5mg ED. They loved it. It wasn't until one of them went up to 10mg ED that they noticed minor undesirable effects. Nothing major and things returned to normal post cycle. Plus everyone is different.
