What happens if your injection isn't deep enough into the muscle?

I've had a few injections that I messed up and only injected about 1/2" into my quad. Not sure how I did it but I've done this a few times since being on TRT over the past year. Will my body still absorb all of the Test or will some be wasted? I would think it would be similar to Sub-Q if it's not deep enough into the muscle? Or, does it not really matter.

I think you'll still absorb it....sub Q is ok in small amounts, a little slower from what I've read

What got into your body will get absorbed. Just more slowly.

Slower absorption and risk the possibility of leaking (inside) and pooling up near a joint, which can be quite uncomfortable.

Half inch, in the quad is still into muscle. Unless you have a very high body fat %. I often use 5/8", and sometimes even 1/2" needles, in my quads, with no issues.

Quarter inch could be into muscle. This can't be generalized, however. BF is not spread evenly, you could be 30% BF and have lean legs.

Fair enough. I could clarify by saying, if one has lean quads, then it is most likely not an issue?

My legs are quite lean so I'm sure I'm fine. I use 1" pins but never go all the way in. I've read that if the needle breaks and it's all the way in you're not going to get it out. Not sure this would ever happen but it did freak me out a bit. I go almost all the way in but after aspirating sometimes the needles pulls out a bit.
