    compounds that increase RBC significantly

Does each compound vary in how much they raise RBC? I know EQ is known to elevated it more than anything else, but are there any that don't affect RBC, or any that affect it only mildly?

    Yes. They all vary.

    Yup, every compound varies….
Also, the available resources in your body to make RBCs matter.
I mean, you need Iron, Vitamin B6, Succnyl-CoA, gylcine… If you have low levels of any of those, that will limit your RBC production.
So for example, Person A and Person B could both be on EQ…
But person A has low serum Iron and Vitamin B6 compared to Person B. So even if both A and B take the same amount of EQ.. B will produce more RBCs cause he has more available resources within his body to make the RBC.

Hence the "..." lol. I was just giving a few examples. There are so many factors that contribute to heme production.

i always thought the commonest things doctors will check for in an anemic patient is iron, b12, folate, maybe electrophoresis. i've never heard of dr checking for b6, succynl coA or glycine. well, learn something everyday!
