    Andro and Testosterone blood testing.

I'v been off steroids for just over a year and was feeling weak tired ext. Went to the Dr and he did blood work. Turned out i have very low test. I got appointment to see the specialist and to get treated for low test. I believed he would prescribe me one of the many test replacement therapy out there. While I was waiting the 3 weeks for my appointment I was feeling so weak and low energy that I decided to inject 1ml of Androgen 325 to make myself feel normal first shot was on March 19th and second was on the 26th. When I saw the Dr. he decided to send me for pituitary blood test and more Testosterone testing:scratch. Now I'm worried I wont get the help I really need as my Testosterone levels might test normal now due to the injections. Am i worried for no reason or does anyone know what the test results might come back at.

When's the blood test scheduled? It may show elevated results. What was the level on the original BW (i.e. What is "low")?

The level was at the bottom of the range the Dr said. He did not show me the results. The next blood test is when ever I decide to go I can wait a week if I need to. I have to fast the night before and go in the morning.

    How old are you Koziak?
You need to find out why your test is low. Not just treat it. Saying you have low test is not a diagnosis. Complete BW will be a good indicator as to where the problem lies. It could be pituitary related, testicular in nature, trauma induced or simply hypothyroid, cortisol, prolactin, etc. That said, work with your doctor to find the root cause. Don't just band aid it with T.

Call your doc's office and have them fax / email you a copy of your BW. It's yours. Then post it up for review.

And stop injecting crap until you figure this out.

I'm 39. All blood work for thyroid ext came back perfect except Testosterone levels . However no pituitary work was done. I'm more worried about my blood tests coming back a a normal rate because of the injections, I want to get the problem fixed. Prior to seeing this specialist my regular Dr. told me I would see the specialist for a prescribed test therapy. If I had known that more testing would have been required I never would have done the injections for a boost.

I'm still wondering if the injections will make my test levels spike in the blood work.

Well, I'm skeptical of "all blood work came back normal for thyroid" due to the fact most doc's don't test all that is need to fully assess it. That would basically be, at a minimun TSH, FT3, FT4, RT3 Antibodies, etc. I'd bet your doc did not come close to testing all that. Be great though if he did. You also definitely need to see your LH & FSH levels as they determine pituitary function.

In the Finding A Doc sticky thread at the top of this forum is a good list of BW to obtain.
