HELP - PLEASE READ - Need some guidance here - SUS and EQ - 2nd cycle ever
What's up.
Thanks for taking the time to read my post.
I bought my first cycle from this 22 year old "bro" who was a bit sketch. I had no clue what I was doing and he was no help. The kid thinks it's OK to run his own cycle for 8 months to a year...not the best pick for a jedi master. I bought 16 weeks of test e and c - split evenly and deca . The kid (sorry, I'm 45 for those that are reading this and 22 - no offense) had me run 1 cc of test and deca (same spike) once a week and test 1 1/2 cc (same week). I stayed on for 14 weeks. Ran arimidex every other day. It was hard to tell the difference between two raisins and my balls. The kid said "peace out" and I was stuck with no PCT as he promised he would help me with. Had access to nothing (remember I'm new) so I bought Thrust and some powered acid stuff to jump start my own test. Balls are back somewhat. It's been 12 weeks since my last cycle and I'm going on again in 2 weeks. This time SUS and EQ. How much should I run? Same amount of test as before? How much EQ should I run - first time? How long should I stay on my cycle? This time I was smart and purchased Clomid (24 tabs) and HCG - How much of the HCG should I run after?
I could really use some help.
First post on this site - email
Thanks

slow down there, bro. You can't change the past; BUT you can move forward in the right way. To begin, get some blood work done. Look around here to see what you need. Get your diet together. The nutrition section here is absolutely outstanding. Spend some time reading up on AAS. The stickies are a great start. Once you get spend some time educating yourself, you will have the knowledge to do things correctly. Not to worry - whether or not they will admit it, most guys here have one or more "stupid cycles" in their past. Now is the time to learn, and change, and move forward safely. best wishes.

Rethink the EQ. You won't find many people recommending it. The risks of EQ (elevated RBCs, hemoglobin, risks of blood clots, and more) over shadow it's extremely minimal benefits.
Nutrition is everything and comes before anabolics. Steroids make great training and nutrition better but will do very little if you don't feed your muscles and train them correctly.

Welcome to the board mate!
*Plan on having any more children? If not, then ball size is not that big of a concern, other than cosmetic. HCG helps in this area
*get the bloods done after you feel "everything" has returned to normal. chances are, you have low T, and by optimizing your T levels, you could see significant improvements just by doing this alone.
*one year in the gym is too soon to start cycling, especially at your age. give it time, be patient. Muscular strength will increase significantly while on cycle, but the strength of your connective tissue (tendons, ligaments) not so much. This strength mis-match will make you a prime candidate for an injury. Rehabbing at your age really sucks, and could take up to six months to see full recovery. So give it a couple more years in the gym to allow the rest of your body, other than muscles, to toughen up.
*9% body fat is impressive. did this require much effort on your part, or is it more genetic? I ask because I've NEVER been that low, and I used to be a competitive distance runner, including marathons. And how did you come to this revelation that you are at 9%? BF Calipers? Bod-Pod? one of those electronic deals?
*what do you know about nutrition? TDEE? Base Metabolic Rate (BMR?) while you are holding off on your next cycle, there is still much to learn. Nutrition is one of the more misunderstood aspects of body building, and I encourage you to mosey on over to the nutrition section and do some reading.
There is definitely ways to go about cycling at your age, but you need to be more careful than the kids here. Your body has a lot more mileage on it than say a 22 year old. An analogy might be putting on a super charger on a stock 69 Ford Tbird. Yes, you will get impressive improvements in horse power. However, when that light turns green and you step on the gas, what you don't want to do is leave tranny parts all over the intersection because you didn't do any improvements to the drive train.
make sense?
good luck!

Thanks to all that answered my post. Not sure how to do a mass thank you!
Roman - Awesome analogy and it makes perfect sense. I forgot to mention (I’m not quite ready for NASA) that I did have blood work done right after my last cycle and all came back ok. Liver had a slight increase in one of the things they test for but my doctor (knowing I did a cycle) said there was nothing to be concerned with other than high cholesterol (which I had before) due to genetics. He put me on a high dose of Simvastatin and we are checking back again in 3 months for that.
I never gained a lot of huge size because my nutrition sucked. I eat very well but not enough. Again, first cycle stupids. I have since seen a Nutritionist who is writing a meal plan for me based on my goals.
I get where all of you were going because you want me to be careful and aware with what I am doing. Got it and agreed. However, I still don’t know how much eq and sus to run and the what to do my with PCT.
Hoping that you knowing that I did get blood work might advance the conversation?
Thanks very much for the time.

Bummer about the EQ as I just bought it. Again under the advise of my 22 year old "Bro." Do you think I should just not run it or run it and have blood work done? I'm not a rich man (only in spirit) and having to buy more would be really hard. However, I value you your opinion an will listen.

Question?
Since EQ is low on the popularity index around here, why the big interest in it? due to availability? I was going to run it years ago, and was talked out of it by a few of the vets here. I've never tried it, and probably will not be trying it anytime soon.
Unless your nutritionist specifically knows about the nutritional needs of body builders, (which is significantly different than most everyone else), then you might be better off doing research on your own.
a lot of nutritionists will try to limit your protein intake to less than what we feel is optimal, or suggest a caloric intake that is too low, or suggest reducing carbs (many carbs are necessary for this lifestyle).
learn about EQ here
Equipoise - Steroid .com
and sust here
Sustanon - Steroid .com
instead of sust, suggest a single esther testosterone , such as cyp or eth. cheaper, more straightforward than sust, which is a blend of four different esthers. Know anything about esthers? An esther is a compound mixed with test (or other steroid ) and allows you to control the burn rate, and thereby allowing you to control the pinning frequency.
so much to learn.....................

the problem with listening to the advice of dealers (yes, your supplier is a dealer) is that the reason he may have recommended EQ may be because that is all he can get, or he is trying to get rid of slow moving inventory.
the sust is an odd one too, as it was very popular years ago, but most here just stick to a single esther compound. if you want to hear the theory behind why sust lost it's popularity, let me know.

ditto on dropping the equipoise . we used tons of it on horses and cattle in the day. it is cheap and easy to get. that's why it is being pushed on you. from a risk / benefit standpoint, you get all of the bad sides and very little growth. If you are looking to add size, plain old test-e will work just fine. I'm up almost 20lbs after 10 weeks of test-e at 500mg/wk. ITS ALL ABOUT THE NUTRITION!
If money is an issue, save before you cycle. the few hundred bucks you spend on some test is nothing compared to the thousands (yes, thousands) you will spend on food. add in your A.I., some HCG and your PCT; and the cost of your gear is actually quite small.
Get that nutrition together and read the stickies. look at what goes into planning a good cycle. Almost everyone starts off thinking a "cycle" is just using certain amounts of one or more compounds for a few months. This is wrong. A cycle is a well-though-out plan combining specific nutrition, a targeted workout plan and AAS to achieve a specific goal over a given amount of time. It all has to work together.

Thanks again to those who took the time to respond. You're comments and guidance are greatly appreciated. I think you are ALL correct, my "bro" sold me what he had and split. I texted him yesterday to tell him that I want to unload the eq and he said, "Oh man it's amazing, you'll love it." Time to dump him and the eq. I may run my SUS with deca . I'm not going to throw out the SUS because I could not get e or c....it will have to do. No eq though....worried about the side effects. I hear all of you loud and clear about nutrition...may as well not run a cycle without that being in place. The good news is that I'm not looking to compete or anything like that. I just want to add some muscle. At 45, I am just happy to have a healthy body that works for me....the rest is the cherry on top. You guys rock. Thanks again. - Drew
