Female looking for some advice on var cycle
Hello! So I've finally decided to join a forum as I have spent a lot of time browsing other threads of similar topic...but none have really given me answers. (Yes I am aware there is a female section but it seems quite dead)
I'm not lean, nor am I obese. I hold fat around stubborn female areas (lower abdominal/thighs/glutes)
I do weights 5 x week + 20 minutes of HIIT 1 x week (sprints on treadmill or x-trainer)
I started my reverse diet about 2 weeks ago, starting from 1700 calories.
(My maintenance is around 2000, I am looking to increase calories by 50 every week)
I'm going to be taking my first dose of 10mg (split in half) tomorrow.
Now the question is, should I take advantage of the var and use it to pack on as much mass possible (Continue my reverse diet)
OR
Is it possible to make decent gains on var while at 1700 calories?
Thanks in advance

I'm curious what your goals are. Kind of hard to answer without any information or details about what you want to do.
Personally though you said you aren't lean, so I wouldn't even bother with the var till you are at least somewhat lean. Any time you touch anabolics you want it to have the biggest impact possible. So give us some background.

cannot say from experience, however I believe Var generally enables the individual to "Maintain" LBM and strength during a cut, I am not sure if you can lose BF and gain muscle at the same time, however you could lose bodyfat and likely maintain all the LBM and strength you have (potentially even gaining strength)
Again wait for some experienced people who have used the compound and then discover for yourself after you decide where to go.

Ah well ofcourse diet is still a main factor...So I guess it's true that var isn't a miracle pill that helps you put mass on without being at a surplus in calories.
I don't have the desired amount of LBM I want so I guess I should continue with this reverse diet in order to pack on as much muscle mass as I can while cycling...

You certainly can implement some carb cycling and or toggling to keep body fat down etc or even recomp a bit. But your logic isn't always the best solution in this regard. The proper solution is to forgo the var till you are ready to cycle aas, and bring the body fat down. I've bulked while fat, it just makes it that much harder to bring the fat down when you have so much more to go and you will likely lose your gains from the var anyways.

I'm not fat haha, never said I was. I'm not lean is what I said (meaning six pack)
I've been at a calorie deficit since last year november, It's deff time to reverse and make some gains...I'll be using var while reverse dieting (adding 50 cals a week) till I hit about 2100 cals. I'll make sure I incorporate some extra cardio during this process..
Am I wrong in thinking var will help me add LBM without TOOOOO much fat gain?

50 cal difference doesn't seem like a lot. If you start to make gains, the extra muscle will probably increase your BMR enough to make up for it. But then again you are eating below maintenance, so are you going to be able to make the gains you want? You're trying to do a lot at once. I'm confused!

I am eating under maintenance...which is why I want to do a reverse diet so I can make gains.
I'm not trying to do a lot at once? Do you understand how a reverse diet works? I don't want to go from 1750 calories (250 below maintenance) straight up to lets say 2200 calories in one day, I want to do it gradually so I don't pack on a lot of fat...

Ok, so you want to do what the rest of us call a "lean bulk". Anavar is helpful no matter how much you're eating, so long as (like any sane person) your goal involves prioritizing muscle and strength gains over fat storage.
Bear in mind that anavar, though mild and non-estrogenic, tends to have the effect on women that Dbol does on men. You may notice some bloating and complain that you "feel like a block" (as does my GF), but it's just water weight and can be countered with a diuretic. The muscle gains can also be pretty dramatic if that's what you train and eat for.
It isn't necessary, but if you were to post a photo of yourself it would help us better understand the build of yours that you are describing ambiguously.

If your maintenance is 2100 like u said, then u should have no problem starting with that calorie level without gaining fat. Plus i wouldnt start the var at least until u hit your maint. Cals. Mind is well get the most out of it.

I want to reverse diet into a "lean bulk"...I've been at 1700 for about 8 months, I can't just increase it to 2100 tomorrow. So these dramatic muscle gains will only occur if i'm eating at a surplus? Or does my calorie intake not matter while on var?
I don't really want to post a photo of myself... I can describe.... I'm 153 cm (5"1???), 58KG, I wouldn't say I'm under 20% bf but I've got the legs of a horse.
