I've had that happen before but not nearly as big of a red mark. It's been warm to the touch but I've also been able to touch it without severe pain. Test the quality or is it from a viable source?

Same thing happened to me, I went to the doc after 4 days of it not going away. He told me it was most likely cellulitis and gave me some antibiotics - I started taking the pills last night and it is completely gone today.

Others here have told me that if you are using a 1" pin it may not be sufficient enough and you need to try out using a 1.5" pin.

It's cellulitis and you need an antibiotic.

I can pin anywhere with a 1" make no difference the body will absorb it. This is either dirty gear or dirty injection.

nothing I've seen online for cellulitis looks like mine, it looks very severe.

should I give it some time take naproxen and massage it in hot water or go to doc ??

I've had cellulitis in the glute from pinning, it sucks. You can either go get it checked or wait to spike a fever...

gonna hit up that cvs minute clinic. I have no insurance so usually I ride things out unless it's really serious. you'd be surprised how many things look bad but aren't lol

Man, I totally understand but that condition can escalate quickly with profoundly negative results. I think you're wise for going to the clinic!

I'm going to see if it goes down or progressively worsens over the next few days and track my right glute. if it also is bad, I'll knock out two infections with one round of antibiotics.

When I first called the nurse told me to draw an outline with a pen of the infection. If it grows by tomorrow morning you're going to have to get antibiotics.

Seriously, if you let it go too far you'll be on IV Ancef. It can abscess, which is bad. Like real bad. Even worse, you can go septic in a relatively short amount of time, happened to me. Just go in and say you had a pimple there and now it looks like that. No need to say you've been pinning.

Why? In this instance it's not medically relevant.

This^^. This type of infection is caused by the bacteria simply finding its way through broken skin. Go telling your doc about your aas usage could haunt you, especially in today's "health care" environment. Docs are being tasked to "keep tabs" on their patients, all of which is not subject to doc/patient privilege where the gov is concerned.

I'm amazed that you haven't gotten this looked at yet. Insurance or not it's your health. Left untreated it will spread and get much worse and cost you way more money. The antibiotic for this is like $6 for the entire prescription. Man up and get it looked at. I had an infection before last year and it sucked. I didn't wait to get it looked at though and took care of it right away.

I cant, I need a 1.5 even for quads or I get this type of reaction every time.

And fit is right...this is cellulitus. Antibiotic will take care of it. Just make sure and watch it tho. Make sure it doesn't turn cold or get real hard to the touch.

first pic is yesterday, I outlined that later at night. second pic is the outlined redness after 10 hours.

I haven't gotten it looked at because it's not for sure an infection, it could be irritation, could be muscle tissue tear, could be allergic reaction. and the visit will cost me $100 and script around 15-20 generic.

today it hurts less, has become slightly softer.

my right glute I shot hurts but has no redness or swelling (this is the day after)

just normal post injection virgin pain

however the redness has lightened in color, it seems to have spread slightly to me, others say it looks better.

im getting antibiotics to be safe, and thankfully my source is sending me 4 vials of gp test to replace this stuff once I show them a picture of medical proof.

    so there's an upside.

So, you're not willing to spend $110 to get it looked at by a professional? WOW!!!!! So glad I care more about myself than you do.
